What an amazing place. It is fully wheelchair friendly and there is even a path through the woods that has fantastic views that you can use. The shop is stocked with plenty of lovely gifts and the cafe has great food and drink. The staff are friendly and helpful and dogs are allowed in all areas. I would highly recommend a visit.

Amazing view of the dam, look like big waterfall, playing area forkids. Good for dogs as well. Plenty parking space, free for 60 minutes and £3 all day. There's cafe serving foods and hot drinks.

"At the visitor center's information desk, you can obtain the best information for touring the entire reservoir area. There's an all-day parking fee, and you can park at various parking lots throughout the area, making it convenient to both drive and explore. The entire area offers a beautiful environment, well worth spending a day exploring."

A great place for a tea break whilst touring the area, whether by vehicle, bicycle or on foot. Some informative displays explaining how the dams were built, plus the usual gift shop. Clean toilets and very pleasant, friendly staff.

We parked in the visitors centre for £3 all day and walked from here to the viewpoint and back, total walk took about 5/6 hours stopping to have a picnic on the way. We was lucky it was a really sunny day so the views were lovely. If you don't want to walk it you can drive it instead but road can be narrow in places.

Very informative about the history of the Elan Valley reservoirs and dams. Only criticism is the price for parking, you do get 1st hour for free but after that it's £3 per hour, I understand that this may be to deter people parking and perhaps going off to camp somewhere but the last time I visited several years ago the parking charges were more moderate.

Elan Valley visitors centre is great place to start your visit to the Dams that supply Birmingham it's drinking water. Top tip you can park for one hour for free, there's a cafe and a shop. Displays and information on the Dams up stream and how they were built. If you have time book a visit to the Red Kite feeding centre near by, it starts at 15.00 in the summer.

It has been nearly 50 years since I visited here last. The natural beauty of the area is still a sight to see and the addition of the visitors centre makes the visit an absolute pleasure. The cafe has a good selection of food and drinks and the staff are very welcoming

Great place to visit. Seeing the dams is amazing. Recommend driving the valley routes to visit the other ones as well. 60 minutes free parking at the centre. £3 all day. Nice food in the cafe there. Good park on site for the kids. Seems very dog friendly as well. Stunning views everywhere you go
