This place doesn?t look like much. It?s a bit run down and not exactly welcoming but we always call in when on holiday for their sandwiches and sausage rolls. Fresh bread rolls. We always have ham, salad and coleslaw baps. Proper thick ham. Seems to be where the Welsh locals get their lunch! Definitely worth popping in for a sandwich and very well priced. £12 for 3 baps and a sausage roll! Can?t go wrong!

An excellent bakery with kind and polite Welsh service. Really tasty sandwiches at a very reasonable price!

Gwalia is an institution. We used to buy pork pies here to take back home to Belgium. Their home-cooked ham is also to die for. Great place for a panedd or a coffee. Years ago I took my future wife here and we ordered a plate of cakes. She was so disappointed when I said we couldn't eat them all. Many happy memories.

Best bakery for many, many miles. The Pumpkin bread is the most delicious I have ever tasted and must win awards. The fruit loaf is packed with fruit and flavours. Delicious. You know it's really good when all the locals go there too.Delicious crempons ( pancakes )Superb scones.A variety of perfect Rolls and breads.Sometimes yesterday's bread's maybe availabile at a reduced price. Still excellent especially if gently rebaked / reheated.Friendly staff.Great value, large portion traditional cafe at the rear.Comforting, cosy setting and quality food.Evil, enticing , sumptuous , scrumptious cream cakes a' plenty.MWYNHAU !ENJOY.

Beyond awful. Staff didn't seem to be able to keep up with who was coming in, even though when we arrived there were only about 5 tables with people at them, we waited 15 minutes for anybody to even take our order, which arrived 45 minutes after we first sat down (we only ordered drinks, 2 teacakes and a cake) The coffee was yuk and the decor was depressing. Never again. An hour's visit for coffee and cake.....

The place is very dated & a bit drab, in need of a bit of a spruce up I think. However, the full breakfast is great value at £7, including doorstep toast with jam, juice & a hot drink. Ingredients aren?t the very best, but are as good as you?re likely to get at this price & the portions are generous.
