I'm a pretty fussy/basic food eater so chose the Lancashire Hotpot and Red Cabbage, was not disappointed, absolutely full of flavour and nicely filling. Would definitely recommend, and the service was every bit as good, friendly, polite, and very helpful. 10 out of 10.

A great pub in so many ways - friendly and attentive staff, good Wye Valley beer, two ciders on tap as well as Kronenbourg 0% for the growing alcohol-free community. On a sunny day, the garden is a quiet haven to chat in over a pint or three. Or indeed have a Sunday roast - the cooking is all done on site, with decent sized portions of mains, cooked with the emphasis on flavour, and very moreish starters and desserts. I will be back!

Went for Sunday lunch, quite pricey at £50 for two lunches and one desert (we paid for drinks separately). The lamb was served very pink so I asked the waitress if it could be cooked a bit more which was obviously an unusual request. Apart from that the food was delicious and the staff very friendly.

If you're looking for a great Sunday roast, I highly recommend The Royal George in Lingen. The food was absolutely amazing ? the beef was cooked perfectly, was full of flavour and the creamed leeks were beautiful. It?s one of, if not, the best roasts I?ve had in a long time. Can?t wait to go back... ??

Everything you want from a small local pub. Limited menu but all good food, great beer and atmosphere. It's a shame there isn't more small gems like this in the county.
