The restaurant has a lovely setup, with indoor and outdoor seating, a kids? play area, and a family-friendly menu. The food was good overall ? my steak was cooked well but could have used better seasoning.
What let the experience down was the service. My first contact was at the door with a staff member named Chloe, when I asked about seating. Instead of a warm welcome, the interaction felt rushed and dismissive. Later, when I went to the bar for drinks, I was served by her again and had a similar experience ? little eye contact and an overall cold manner that made me feel more like an interruption than a customer. I rarely mention staff names in reviews unless good, but in this case I felt uncomfortable enough that it was worth noting.
To be fair, I had read many positive reviews praising both the food and the friendliness of the staff, which encouraged me to visit. Perhaps it was simply an off day for the staff I encountered, but unfortunately it left a poor impression.

5 stars for the staff, ordered the chicken burger and had to send it back as I asked no BBQ sauce, it was remade but was burnt and very dry, was rectified with much better expectations than expected, all other meals were perfect and drinks were better than most pubs in the area. Staff are brilliant and very helpful. Will come again and as a chef I'd happily show the kitchen how to make an amazing recipe for a proper juicy, tasty fried chicken breast for the burger ? (wasn't being fussy with my requests, I'm nightshade intolerant hence no tomato, potato, spice, yes... I have a boring diet, all my favourite food I can't eat) ?

was absolutely amazing! The food was cooked to perfection, served piping hot, and full of flavour. The whole place was spotless, with such a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. I?ll definitely be coming back in the next year or so!

Excellent customer service. We had Sunday carvery. Good choice. 3 meat, various vegetables, mash, roast and New potatoes. Different gravy choices. Very tasty.
Cheaper carvery on weekdays and oap discount.
Can get busy, didn't book in advance this time as only 2 of us.
Good outdoor play area for children.
Also plenty of outdoor seating.

Food is average pub food just nothing special. Found the place rather dirty, tables sticky and menus too - just needs a good scrub. Staff are quite short with you too so just don?t think we would return.

Good place for families. Nice play area for little ones with plenty of outdoor seating. Food is ok, carvery dishes not always very hot.
