Steer clear of this place, I went with my 2 teenagers so we weren't intending to use the facilities. We just wanted a comfortable place to sleep. But the caravan was dirty on arrival. There were drips of fat down the oven door. The fridge door was all sticky. The worst thing was if you closed the bedroom doors from the inside you got locked in. The staff were friendly and polite. But the caravan was not good value for money. I paid £323 for 3 nights stay. I would never go there again.

The resort was fine for the facilities it had. But don't use it as a base to stay there all day and expect the parks, restaurant etc to be of a high standard. The location was clean, the caravan was fine for a Bronze size. But if you are very tall or large then the room size will cause issues. The pool and eating facilities are fine. The small parks are fine too. But they aren't really suitable for every day entertainment as the size and options within them are limited. The arcade is fine for a one off use and the bar is good place. The mermaid cafe is good to for small snacks and basic drinks so you can enjoy while the kids play in the park. I have seen some parking issues as I was blocked in on a few occasions. The Captains Plaice is overpriced and low in quality. The staff were fine, but generally seemed like young kids as a summer break job and on one occasion the pool was booked in the morning only to be told it wasn't in the afternoon. One thing is you do have book an hour slot each day if you wish to use the pool.

We have just got back from our long weekend at the Marine Holiday Park we last came here back in 2017 and love the changes to the children's play park and the swimming pool and the outdoor bar is just a lovely addition. All staff were really polite and helpful. We have really enjoyed our time here again. I want to also mention the Mermaid Cafe wow love this place. The food is just amazing here the burgers we just kept coming back for more each day. The staff at the cafe were all so lovely this was out favourite place to eat.

I went here with my daughter and her young family after some debate over my fear of covid.. Well covid wouldn't even stay here... on arrival it was impossible to get in as cars went anywhere no system inplace. Got to our Platinum *** van . To find it dirty hair in shower . Cutlery dirty and not enuff ..cups got lipstick on . You can get the picture so I will move on . To the homeowners on site they are rude ... they walk there dogs near other vans to go toilet which they leave for you and your family to walk in. The complex has no shop. And only one eat in area but only open a few hrs per day . Is adjacent to a bar area we're people smoke ignoring no smoking ? signs.. take out food is outrageous priced which would be acceptable if food was edible and not high risk. We all got bad stomach from it . The play area has huts on them but you can't use them as people in them drinking and smoking narcotics... rowdy and using fowl language ... Dont bother to pay for passes as no one checks and lots off people don't have them and say very proud they didn't pay . Swimming area not clean floating plasters and hair all over . You must book a slot o swim so you can't just come and go . Unless like most people you climb the gates of the adjacent play area and go in and out freely.. overall it was a complete waste of hard earned money ..

Let's make it simple:- Parking is non existant. Having to park on the service road as parking next to the caravans not allowed (told parking bays available, hilariously small to accommodate all). Captains Plaice- disgusting food at premium prices. Fish straight from Farm foods deep fried and served with cardboard fries.(noted on last day a delivery of Food including frozen, left in an open area beneath the serving hatch. No one there to receive it!!) £150 Deposit- never known this before anywhere and as stated in previous reviews, only notified of this after fully payed for trip and just before arrival. Amenities- Swimming pool good but no control over groups messing around (young children struggling for space). Arcade...Garbage (say no more!). Park...not too bad but can get crowded. Mermaid Cafe - shining light of our stay. Ate there most days, staff really good, food reasonably priced and tasted good. (Get these guys to give the filthy Captains Plaice a lesson in Hygiene and how to prepare and serve decent food!!). Would agree with others that it feels like a rudderless ship with no direction very little is properly organised.

We had a week there with the two young children, in a lodge rather than a caravan. The lodge was spacious & clean though quite a bit needed renewing - mattress was lumpy + uncomfortable, kitchen equipment worn or broken. Park facilities quite small but modern & clean. Parking an issue, cars left everywhere as not enough spaces provided. Would we go back - No.

Started badly and cannot wait to go home tomorrow!!, Was promised a gold 2+ with decking...with a disabled daughter the enclosed decking was a must, eventually after arguing with reception staff for 15 minutes and showing them the email promising decking they moved us to a gold 3 caravan. £150 pre authorisation? For quite a dirty caravan! Clean on arrival but on closer inspection quite dirty Bin in the bathroom covered in dirt Brown marks on the sheets in one of the bedrooms. (View photo) Beds wobbly/to small. Arcades are incredibly basic and the smell in the arcade room is vile. Swimming pool has cracked tiles, to busy even with booking....pool was full of balls/lilos that people had bought in Not allowing enough room for a swim...unless you wanted to be smacked with a ball or hit a lilo mid swim, when told its time to leave its just "get out now" not kind at all. Entertainment was OK but the bar is far to cramped! Needs to be bigger. Loads of parents just dumping their kids on the playground so they could be in peace...which would be great.....if the kids didn't decide to hit my daughter, with no parents to be seen/found. Several calls for missing kids put out in the evenings. Captains plaice......dirty, overcooked grease dripping food, the kitchen itself is disgustingly filthy/untidy, I wish I had of gone to order or I'd of told them about the uncleanliness! (See photos of food) Ice cream bar was lovely Cafes staff were lovely and food nice! Bingo was great after the guy had managed to get everyone to be quieter for it. Drinks in the bar reasonably priced, thanks for the stay but I'll pass on coming here again, I loved it 5 years ago so I'm very disappointed this time round Especially since it was booked through a disabled children's charity!

Staff all very friendly and helpful and the resort itself was well maintained and clean and fresh looking. We had a bronze caravan so we knew it would be basic, but I have to say this was the most basic and tiny caravan I?ve been in, having stayed at other resorts for similar prices. The ?double? bed room was ridiculously small. Both sides of the bed had just inches away from the wall so you basically had to slide against the wall ninja style, or climb across the bed, in order to get into bed. The only area in the room with a mirror and shelf also involved this slide against the wall, and you had to sit on the bed to do make up and hair. No chair as not enough space. To get in the wardrobe at the end of the bed you had to go to the right of the wardrobe in order to be able to open it and look inside, as the bed is so close. No coat hangers (I asked reception for some but they never came) so there is no where at all in the caravan to hang up a coat, not even the back of a chair as there are none, not even a hook on a wall or door! So when we all got in with wet coats we had no means to hang them anywhere. I mean it wouldn?t hurt to put a few hooks up at least? There were a few holes on a wall near the door that may have had hooks at one time perhaps?? The twin room beds are so tiny you can?t even roll over in them and one of them felt wobbly. No drawers for clothes in either bedroom. Just a small wardrobe in each with no hangers. My dresses ended up all creased and of course there was no iron either! No mattress protectors or pillow protectors which is a bit surprising considering the pandemic, never mind general hygiene. Kitchen okay, and small as usual for a caravan. Tin opener wasn?t working but was quickly replaced when I asked for one. Oven worked fine and good hot water. Basic equipment. Living area was okay, other than a very noisy, squeaky corner on the sofa which was so loud and annoying we had to try to avoid it, thus limiting our seating space. Not very comfortable to sit on for long. Table was round and quite unstable so easily tips if leaned on which meant being careful to remember this when drinks were on it. Two tiny stools came with it. Not comfortable for long either. Electric fire worked well. TV was great and if paying for WiFi you can sign in to your own Netflix, etc. WiFi quite good but occasionally lost signal. Bathroom okay, and was clean. Tiny as expected and annoyingly no where to put wash bags, etc. No bathroom waste bin which isn?t great for people if they use sanitary towels, etc. Only one small waste bin in kitchen area. No clothes drier or anywhere to hang clothes when we came in soaked from rain. We wouldn?t stay in a bronze caravan on this site again. Still quite expensive for what was given and have paid similar on other sites and had a lot more space and equipment. Site was well maintained and attractive. We didn?t go swimming but the pool looked lovely. Nice play area for kids. Arcade very limited with no prizes/tickets, but okay for a few quick games. Our main complaint about the site was the lack of a shop. Never been to a site without a shop before. You can walk about 10 mins off site to get to a shop but not as convenient as having one on site, especially if you only want a couple of things. Food offered on site was okay but a bit limited and certainly nothing special. The chip shop staff were friendly, but the food wasn?t great. Not proper chippie chips, more like frozen thin fries you could buy in a shop to cook at home. The pizzas were quite burned. Burgers were nice though. Expensive for the quality of food on offer. Ice cream shop wasn?t open any time I went, although if you ask the cafe staff they?ll get a key and open it for you to buy an ice cream, which helped. Entertainment area was not really big enough for the amount of people on site so we didn?t manage to get a seat on any night we went. Standard holiday park entertainment on offer. We got taxis in and out of Rhyl as it?s quite a long walk into the main shopping area and beach. Taxis were not too expensive and we usuall

Got back today from a 5 day last minute family break. wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. On first impressions it was lovely and clean and very welcoming the outside area of the play area and bar ect was beautifully presented and really eye catching, I didn't go inside the venue to review the entertainment or arcade ect by my husband and daughter did and they said it was great and couldn't get enough of the pool table, the swimming was also lovely and warm they said , the accommodation was right next to the complex and although was noisy at night it wasn't unbearable, the caravan it's self was clean and had everything you need for a short break but really missed the fact it didn't even have a freezer box just a fridge especially in the heatwave , and the pillows provided was just 1 per person and they were flat no support what so ever , we did ring for more but they refused so we had to purchase some from the town ( note to take our own next time) also there is a deposit that as to be paid paid on arrival and it goes up depending on spec of caravan, doesn't state this until after booked either, the chip shop is diablolical we had fish and chips from there , well it was french fries and the frozen fish was actually not cooked and it cost £7.50, it went in the bin , the worst part and I know this could be any park but as we were right by the football pitch we noticed it more. Last night there was a group of 10+ teenagers mainly lads and they were smashing glass on the pitch the were getting bar stools and using them to climb on the roof of the shacks and over railings it was quite disturbing to see, and there wernt any adults to stop them, my husband did try go find security but couldn't see anyone I was more worried someone was going to get seriously hurt or worse this went on until passed 11pm it wasn't good at all overall it was a pleasant stay clean and tidy and enough to do for young children and the perfect base to explore North wales I would stay again can't fault the staff or the van apart from lack of pillows and a freezer but something needs to be done about the unruly teenagers as it seems to be a pattern from reading some reviews , also I think the outside bar and burger place really could do with been able to use a card as its all cash only

Me and my family stayed here for a week the reception staff were polite, welcoming, the caravan was nice &clean, up to standard only issues were the bathroom tap wasn't secure properly, the kitchen blind wouldn't go up or down as the string was broke, the doors had plastic coming off so looked very scruffy , the bathroom window wouldn't open only had a vent which was closed outside , would of been better if the windows had restrains on so it's more safter for children, there wasn't much entertainment at evening for toddlers, the burger bar, was expensive for what you want would of hoped for a bit more for the money you spend , the had a laundry which was handy, you book slots for swimming which was good so the pool was never over crowed

Stunning facilities for children. A nice pleasant and easy going bar staff in the "Sports" bar. Club house plush and clean with excellent acts. Only my opinion but I would replace the "chip shop" with an onsite shop.

Booked in on a Friday 4pm. One person on reception and queue, seemed bit short staffed, and not particularly welcoming- poor start. Caravan wasn?t too clean. Granted we were staying in a budget bronze, but there was dirt all over surfaces not cleaned properly, what looked like tea stains on the doors, carpets quite dirty. The toilets on site ladies had 2 out of order and no toilet paper in. Really annoying. Meant to be checked by staff but not sure how toilet roll has completely run out at 11am. Arcades we?re far too hot, walked in and out (no air con?)- went to Rhyl pier instead Pool is ok but nothing for kids very boring Outdoor play again ok but kids get bored after 10/20 minutes not much there. The captains plaice looked promising but more of a pizza takeaway not fish and chips. No gravy or curry or anything you?d expect from a chip shop. Chicken nuggets were cremated and farmfoods frozen chips on display were anaemic and tasted awful Nothing overall for kids to do, luckily I?d planned off site but don?t expect to keep the kids entertained Left my daughters suitcase after usual rush to evacuate room by 10. Rang up to see if it was there, quite a snotty lady in bookings told me it hadn?t been handed in, which she?d be surprised if it was there as two phones had been handed in. I persisted and explained it had been a gift for my daughter from her grandmother. Lady dialled out and turns out it was located. I said I?d pay for a courier to collect and asked if it could be covered. Lady on phone said no we don?t do anything like that we will keep it safe that?s it. I was like really can?t you please just cover in something anything to protect it, and EVENTUALLY she agreed on covering it in a bin bag. She had an awful attitude, really disappointed. Anyway probably won?t go again, there were other parks and not too impressed least of all by the woman in bookings after the lost property. Park was quiet no rowdy parties (out of peak), and good central location.

We stayed in a friends caravan for a few days the location of the park is ideal you can easily walk to the seafront about a 10-15 minute walk and it's right by the train station so if you don't drive you can get to the park without any fuss. We didn't use any facilities on the camp site we were just using it as a base to travel in the area but what i can make out you can purchase a pass to use them. The outside part for the kids looks lovely and i believe its brand newish not that long been done. It's a large campsite and we were in the middle its just a shame it didn't have another entrance at the back but its understandable with security i guess.

Chose to come to this park in particular as it was the holiday destination of my Fiancé and his siblings when they were kids. Unfortunately they lost their parents in 2020 and we wanted a family reunion filled with nostalgia for them, with the potential of great new family memories with our children and neices and nephews. Originally we booked a Sun Holiday to Prestatyn Pontins as this park wanted around £400 for a weekend, which in my opinion is too much money for a caravan, especially when you're on a budget. Anyway, luck would have it, I was looking on Groupon to see if there was any activities near by to take advantage of and happened to come across a stay at Marine Park that weekend for £77 p/night. So we booked that so we could be with the family all together and sold the Sun Holiday. The park itself is gorgeous, really nicely decorated and feels very posh walking in where you are invited to sit rather than stand at a reception desk. The staff here were very friendly and welcoming. The first inconvenience was the £100 holding charge/deposit. I understand why they do this but it massively inconvenienced us as we are on a tight budget as it is and not only did this mean we had to be extra careful money wise on the trip, it didnt come back into my bank until a week later. When booking this stay on Groupon we were not informed of this holding charge, but we were emailed about it after. Problem is it had to come out of our holiday spending money as bills were coming out after the trip. The caravan itself was well presented and extremely clean, I hope the cleaners on this site are paid very well as they do a really good job and can't be faulted. However we noticed things that we've had in every other caravan holiday were not present, such as coat hooks, clothes hangers in the wardrobe and hand/towel rail. This was frustrating as we never brought clothes hangers with us as there has always been some wherever we've stayed previously and our hand towel had nowhere to be placed in the bathroom. The swimming pool is lovely, nice and warm and well presented again, opening from 9-6 . However, it is not made aware to you upon booking that the first hour its open is for owners only, and you HAVE to book in advance to go in then pool. So we had planned, quick dip at 9 and on with the day, which obviously was delayed because we aren't owners. When we did go in at 10 we were told, while we were swimming, it was time for us to get out at 1050 as we are only "allowed" 50 minutes and 10 minutes to get ready. I would have understood this if it was summer holidays/at maximum capacity with a queue out the door but this was not the case. Luckily we had only planned to stay in until 11 anyway, so the kids weren't too upset about getting out, but its really beside the point. Not to mention that no one is checking the toilets as the same mess that was on the floor on the Saturday was still There in the Sunday. My brother in law ordered from the takeaway restaurant and he was really unimpressed by the colour and quality of the fish (see picture). The evening entertainment... the main reason for my not so positive review... is honestly shocking. There is NO ENTERTAINMENT TEAM. Never have I ever been to a holiday park that doesn't have an entertainment team that interacts and gets to know the guests. All entertainment provided is external and frankly... bleak. 7pm is children's entertainment, as expected, there is no mascot to come and greet the children, there wasn't many games but hey ho there was something. Then 8pm-9pm there is NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. No Quiz, no bingo, no mascot, no family entertainment, no get to know the entertainers... nothing at all other than your 9 o'clock entertainment setting up their speakers and set. At 9 o'clock the cabaret act starts which on Friday was an old guy with a dusty set and Saturday a duo who failed to really engage the audience. At 930, while the entertainment is actually on, the bingo tickets go on sale and at 10 o'clock the
