I visited this pub Saturday 16th 2023 with a driver colleague of mine and her 3 little doggies! We were left outside after ringing up expecting the pub to be open at noon like it said on the sign but was told it opened on Saturday at 12.30pm!No cars were in the car park either so we suspected they had no guests in their rooms!Really do not recommend this pub to anyone coming from outside of wales because its obvious they don't want our custom!!!! Very piss poor service!!!

After a day of travelling me, my partner, sister in law & her partner wanted to go somewhere nice for tea. When we arrived there was 1 vehicle on the car park so we wasn?t sure if the restaurant was open. We asked for a table of 4 and was told there wasn?t any room for us & that it was bookings only, we could clearly see the restaurant was empty as there was only 2 gentlemen at the bar having a drink. I think the lady behind the bar, took one look at me & my family & realised we wasn?t from the area so we didn?t receive a friendly response. I won?t be coming here again & wouldn?t recommend to anyone.

Was a last minute booking due to being let down massively by different accommodation. So glad we were as you are welcomed with a smile, room was lovely and the bed was like no other. Had an amazing nights sleep! Thanks guys!

Called in o Saturday evening with the kids for a meal and was told booking only, I asked if I could book and was told no, if it had been busy I would understand, That?s 6 meals and serval drinks later they lost out on but I suppose £300 is nothing to a pub these days, Staff weren?t introduced

If it's character you are after then this is the place. It's a little isolated, but that wasn't a problem for my 1 night stay. Rooms are comfy and clean. The room tv is tiny, bit again not a problem. Food was delivered hot and very quickly. Service was good.

Very helpful staff and great carvery. The place is a lot bigger than it appears from the main road but there is ample parking and seating indoors and out. Would certainly recommend it.

Perfect place to stay! This was exactly the sort of accommodation that works best for us. 2 good bedrooms with a double and twin room - both en-suite shower / wet rooms. Good kitchen and equipment.Dog friendly? and plenty of parking.Great location for both west and north wales coastlines and of course Snowdonia. Also gives easy access out to border towns Welshpool / Oswestry / Shrewsbury etc.Highly recommend, we will be returning!Nearby activities: Ideal for walking in Snowdonia and trips to the coast.Food & drinks: Good food and drink available at the hotel

The lady that works there is one of the rudest women I?ve met. I am a local and have ate here a few times (food mediocre to be polite), and she has always been unpleasant. My family and I were passing by on a long car journey and was planning on getting a drink. I asked to visit the restroom and the response was so rude we decided to not stop for refreshments. Regardless of being heavily pregnant and with a toddler in tow it is awful treatment to potential customers. Despite that it is local to us with a beautiful garden, it is not worth the sour reception.

Whilst staying at a nearby campsite we called into the Cann Office for Sunday dinner. We sat in the outdoor covered area as we had two dogs with us. I ordered the vegan shepherds pie, which was a little expensive at £14.50 but a nice cosy option as you listened to the rain pattering on the roof. It was nice enough, not much to it and it had the look of a premade meal zapped in the microwave, it held the temperature of an active volcano but it was quite tasty. My husband had fish and chips which did look good. A pint of lager cost £5.80 which was a shock but maybe that's what lager costs these days! Inside there were little snug rooms as well as the restaurant area. The garden had a play area and seating. Overall a nice venue.
