Stopped off here for food 1st August, didn't have to book arrived just after opening 1800hrs, ordered food at the bar as instructed didn't have to wait too long for food to arrive and we weren't disappointed, hot,tasty wasn't on the plate too long ? desert was great aswell, definitely recommend, and we will be back

After a pub that was booked, another that treated us as aliens this was a little piece of heaven atop the hill in Llanddarog. A welcome hand cooked and brewed fare that didn't disappoint. Odd opening hours (probably so they could work in their brewery so check their website) and dogs only outside aside... this place is an absolute find. Very much recommended. P.s. the portions were generous too!

Visited pub due to beaing in a Welsh village with my Welsh friends to support local businesses we ordered drinks no problem sat down looked at menu us Welsh friends were speaking Welsh our mother tounge and were asked to stop speaking our language this comes from staff in a pub in a Welsh village will never visit property ever again more of a welcome in abadam arms and prince of Wales

What a fantastic thatched roof pub/restaurant. Excellent friendly service and quality of food. Would thoroughly recommend this establishment, whether just to pop in for a drink or the full works!

Absolutely amazing place staff are super friendly. The pub, as you can see from the photos full to the rafters with memorabilia. . You can also see your food being prepared and cooked with the half open kitchen. The chef is busy busy busy. The food was outstanding very tasty. Burger ( home-made) was delicious. We will be back, where i will be having a steak. This place is a must to visit and be warned. The portion sizes are on the hearty side. Oh, did I say there is a distillery around the back and also a micro brewery, too?

I am surprised to see how many people have posted reviews raving about how good the food is here, this was unfortunately was not my experience, it was very pricy which we don't mind for a good meal, but the price did not reflect the quality of the meal at all.
I had surf and turf, and somehow even though it had garlic butter all over it, it was just bland, and to be honest, the steak was poor quality, and cooked well done when I asked for medium rare.
We also shared chicken wings as a starter, easily the worst chicken wings I have had anywhere ever.
I wouldn't revisit, I am pretty local, and would choose any of the other places that serve food in our local area above this place

Friendly staff & owners they went out of there way for us and the food was absolutely perfect very good size portions & delicious in every way such a beautiful place in lovely country side I definitely highly recommend this pub for food & drink & we will definitely be back thankyou we really enjoyed x

Setting the record straight with these bad reviews, this is a local family pub close by to us and have visited many times over the years. It?s always got a warm inviting charm and the staff are always lovely. Food can be on the pricy side but you get huge portions for what you pay for. The quality is good. It?s a proper old school family pub that just wants to serve the local people good food and they do it very well! These non local people on bike rides stopping by to complain about the garden not being a garden is really pathetic? if I got fed well in a unique place with lots of charm I wouldn?t worry about the garden ?! People have too high expectation these days. The chips are to die for !

We had Sunday lunch, very bid portions but instead they could use better quality food and smaller portions, looking at the beer price list we got overcharged by about £3 .We brought eight bottles of beer to take away, we asked for a gift box ,they said they cost to much to give away so give her a car airfreshener if I had not already paid I would have not brought them ,all they seemed interested in was taking your money ,this is a shame as we just moved to the area and we would have returned to buy more but would not eat there again

Called here enroute to see friends. My husband had Cawl which he said was delicious. I had prawn cocktail, which was OK, plenty of prawns. Unfortunately it was served with 2 slices of very stale white bread.
