Normally it is hard to tell Tesco stores apart. Drop you in one and you wouldn't know if you were in Aberystwyth or Wigan. The same goods, prices and range are here as in all the smaller Tesco's (no clothes or cafe) but the car park is a nightmare. It is too small and poorly laid out. On a cold wet day, not unheard of in Gwynedd, there is nothing more miserable than circling the park avoiding other place-seeker and trolley pushers. Inside the building is too small for the custom it receives so the theme of being cramped and stressed hangs with you for the entire visit.

This was built about four years ago now. It doesn't have clothes, a cafe, or many of the other features we come to expect from Tesco now. Because the shop has far more customers than Tesco expected many shelves are often empty, and they regularly discontinue lines because there isn't enough shelf space. Ok for tourists to top up, but head to Bangor for a big shop.

Great store for Porthmadog. Well laid out. Would like to see some clothes, but its not really big enough. Helpful staff and nice selection of products
