Had a problem with my gear shift that a previous mechanic was unable to solve. Mal and his team were more than happy to accommodate me as a first time customer and look into the problem.Service was incredibly quick; within a day of dropping the car off it was ready to collect, and Mal let me take the car for a drive before coming to a judgement on the work, which i'm happy so say solved the issue. This was particularly helpful as I could tell the issue was solved before taking the car back home. Prices were excellent, and I was told the objective with my case was to do the job as well as possible whilst keeping the cost manageable, which makes a nice change from being overcharged for having work done!Cannot recommend Ynys enough. Mal and his guys are friendly, knowledgeable and keep you informed as to what they are doing as much as they can, so much so that even with me not being a regular customer, I felt a sense of safety that my car would be looked after. I'll definitely be returning!

I was very happy with the service I received, the repair wasn't a straightforward one but staff spent many hours trying to find the most efficient and economical way to fix it. I didn't have to pay anything until the vehicle was fixed to my satisfaction, including allowing a few days for me to run the new part in. As a woman on my own, I felt respected and listened to. I will be happy to use this garage again and recommend them to others.

BEWARE! I was in a pinch and couldn't bring my car to my usual garage so I trusted google and found here. I was charged £460 for a failed MOT, full service, replaced "wish bone" in the front drivers side, and a repeat MOT. I also asked for my timing belt to be replaced (I had the belt already) and they tried to convince me it would be another £400 of work due to pump, gauge and tensioner needing replaced also. I since brought the car back to my usual garage who have said the "wish bone" hasn't been replaced and needs to be now, and that I don't need the pump, gauge or tensioner replaced (as I had thought).I dont know if it's because I'm a woman or because I had an irish accent so they knew I wasn't local, but I was totally SCAMMED!Service: Auto maintenance

I moved to Pontypridd a few months ago and this is my first time going to Ynys Garage. Amazing experience, fixed the issue I had really quickly as well as being very decently priced. I will definitely be using them again in the future and recommending them to anyone who needs a trustworthy garage that can get the job done!

great garage, friendly staff, my poli wouldnt start the morning of the MOT, so it was late for its MOT by an hour or so, they still took it, fit in the MOT, and refilled my collant at no extra cost, and gad it ready for the same day would strongly reccomend

Very impressed, took my car in without an appointment and even though they were extremely busy they found time to have a look and diagnose my car. The young lad was very polite and knowledgeable.
