Called in yesterday (Friday 28th Feb) to buy my wife a large bottle of perfume. Stood waiting by the perfume counter but no one turned up. Asked the guy at the tills if I could be served. He said some one is on the way, should be back by 1pm, this was an odd answer as it was just passed 2pm. I waited a few more minutes and then asked again only to get the same answer. I knew which perfume I wanted and was prepared to pay upto £120. Still no service after a further 5 minutes. We walked out, left the other shopping my wife picked up in the store.
No wonder boots are struggling making a profit. They can't even make a sale.

When it comes to answering the phone, these people are utterly useless. After an hour Im STILL on hold waiting for an answer.
EDIT: It has now been two hours and STILL nobody deigns to answer. While waiting, I've been going through other reviews and can see that this has been a long ongoing issue. Boots are clearly indifferent when it comes to customer care.

Pharmacy is the worst 3 family members rang them for a couple of hours to see if moms pills were ready as we had a long drive to collect them and not once did they answer the phone.

This shop is unbelievable. My server Caren didn?t say a single word to me or even look at me while serving today, even when I was paying she didn?t even tell me the amount. Literally not a single word from her mouth the whole time I was at the till. So unbelievably rude! If you don?t like customer based jobs please don?t have one! Made me feel uncomfortable. And from the rest of these reviews I?m not shocked now. First and last time I will shop here.

Trying all day to get through to the pharmacy to find out if my mother's medication would be delivered today as she has run out of some tablets. No chance, AT ALL.

Went into boots today. Nobody on the checkouts. Couldn't find any staff could have quite easily have walked out without paying, but no I went to the pharmacy to pay, woman who served me after waiting for her to finish telling her life story to a customer. We try to keep local businesses open but can see why people shop on line. Won't be going there again I would rather travel to Cardiff boots, probably be a lot quicker

Appalling customer service received in Boots Pontypridd today. Hordes of customers gathering around the perfume section (very atypical at this time of year) - 1 young female assistant thought that leaning on the counter with a bored expression etched on her face whilst ignoring paying customers was an acceptable form of service. An older female employee seemingly felt that stocking up in another aisle was preferential to serving customers and busting the lengthy queues - and all this at a time when every single sale counts in an era when retail jobs are increasingly uncertain.

Bought an item for my child. £15. Then went to a local pharmacy and was told the same item could and should be supplied for free under "the common ailments scheme" which the local pharmacy did. Took the paid for item back to Boots but a refund was refused. I asked them if they had heard of the scheme and they said they had! I guess that's where their interaction with the common ailments scheme starts and ends. #dontletbootsputthebootin #commonailmentsscheme

Extremely slow service yet again. 20 minutes to deal with the customer in front of me. And 10mins dealing with me. People walking away waiting too long. Need more staff Or a change of staff that knows what thier doing...

Mair at Taff St Pontypridd, pharmacy was wonderful, helpful and sorted out my problem lost script with ease and professionalism. Dwain was also really helpful member of the pharmacy team too.I must say that all the staff in this boots store, are incredibly helpful, they all stand out as, going that extra mile for their customers, over any other boots I have visited.Lovely to feel as valued customer.Thank you x
