I would stay here again because of the location and free parking .We had no problem with noise. Cleanliness was average. Miniature TV high on the wall. However the breakfast was very bad. No choice of brown or white bread. Toast on a plate burnt one side soggy the other. Week tea and only given one bag each. Tomato was rotten. Ran out of orange juice. And no marmalade offered.

Absolutely stunning food!!! I had the chicken breast with dauphinoise potato and creamy cheddar cheese sauce. It was honestly one of the best meals I've ever had! Wish I'd taken a photo!? My husband had the cheeseburger and thought the bread was amazing, as was the burger. We are so lucky that this fabulous restaurant/ hotel is just a few miles away from our house, we shall return....soon!!!!Food & drinks: Amazing!!! Just amazing

A lovely little venue for my brothers wedding, staff were super friendly and the food very tasty and service very quick. The rooms were clean and pleasant and parking was simple and accessible. Worth a visit if in Blaenavon.

Had an absolutely fabulous wedding at the Lion last weekend. Marc & the team put us at ease with their professionalism from start to finish. The food was delicious, the space looked amazing and the room left us with a peaceful night's sleep and great bathroom facilities. No hidden "wedding fees", just good, honest service with a true Blaenavon welcome. Would highly recommend. Thank you so much!

Stopped in for an evening meal, the food was superb, I had the seafood and my husband had the pork. Could not fault the food, the service or the pub.

Had a family meal here and it was blooming delicious! Great pub grub and friendly service, I cannot wait to return. We all had something different and we all started with food envy but once we started eating we were all more than content. The car ride home was full of compliments for the food. Thank you! I wish I could recommend one particular dish but they were all great.Only negative was the cleanliness of the drinking glasses, some were slightly marked. Don?t let that put you off!

Nice hotel in an interesting location. Free parking. The room was dirty, the first thing that caught my eye upon entering the room was a thick layer of dust behind the TV. Bathroom average clean. Freestanding bathtub plus freestanding faucet. Very good quality towels. Standard food, very weak coffee. The hotel is sufficient for one night.Rooms: dust in the room
