Absolute shambles in here this morning. Yes I know it's Friday and expected it to be busy BUT long ques for self checkout, people with trollies using basket only tills, employees did absolutely nothing about it. Come on Tesco instruct shoppers to use the correct tills ?

Shopped at 07:00 this morning. All frozen stuff, had no stay cool bags so intended to buy some new with my shopping.
Had a big trolley full so asked an assistant to open a till. She refused and said I?ll have to use basket self checkout. Bear in mind I?ve got a trolley full of stuff. !
So I asked can I pay for my new cool bags first so at least I can try to pack it all in the little basket space. They refused? can only pay for them once my shop is completed as they got tags on them
So I tried to get it all stacked on the little basket thing but everything started cascading on the floor.
Asked again can I pay for what I have so far or at least pay for the bags so I can pack it?. Refused? assistant says she?s really sorry, can?t pay for the bags as they got tags on, can?t take them off until shopping completed and walked off
Surely if a customer has shopping then either open a proper lane or help in some way, shape or form?.stinky attitudes from staff who couldn?t care less

ABSOLUTELY APPALLED on the 13/05/25 me, my partner and my little sister went to Tesco. I?m often at Tesco and had very little issues but unfortunately today was a different story.
After getting what I needed to get me and my sister went to sit in the car as my partner went around to get her a drink. A few minutes later he comes to the car RED in the face telling me and that the SECURITY GUARD (whom had access to the cameras) accused my partner of hiding a box of 6 cans of lager. He?s in shorts and a T-shirt. The guard asked my partner to lift up his top. How inappropriate. To falsely accuse someone when u have access to cameras. Definitely needs talking to.

Worst experience I have ever had in my life
When there to buy a candle lighter I was told i need I D card which I went back to grab my driving license from my car went back there and I was told my partner also need to present her ID card just because I want to purchase candle lighter pontypool branch is full of racist staff nonsense

I have been a regular user of tesco since it opened, but have found the service and staff have gone downhill very badly, especially on the customer service desk, the girl on there is very rude & should not be dealing with customers.

Usually empty shelves (not talking christmas) most mornings. Terrible veg quality and must be the most obvious store for proving that welsh consumers get poor quality products and choices. Thank god Aldi opened with far superior fresh options and butchers still exist in Ponty. Oh don't even mention fridges down entirely every couple of months of late.

Security in store is extremely unprofessional.Spoke to the deputy manager after the security guard followed myself and my partner to self checkout where we paid for a coffee only to have the security guard stand directly behind us the entire time then acuse us of not paying?When confronted he said we hadn't paid despite having our receipt in his hands, deputy manager was professional and sorted it.This security guard has watched and followed us out the store numerous times only when questioned to say "he smokes out the front", in which case it is still disgusting.All this over a coffee and accused in broad daylight in the self checkouts.Doubt anything will happen from this review, I'm glad I don't have this as a local tesco because I won't be returning.

3 hours parking in tescoEasy access to shop from car parkCash points out side when it works.Cafe very nice, food lovely , staff friendly.Disabled toilets and Normal toiletsLift up to the cafe and toilets or the escalatorLocal to town, down the ramp 2 min walk .

This is for whoever manages the cafeLeaving the cafe service desk unattended for over 5 minutes is not good form, failing to apologize for keeping a customer waiting is pretty dreadful.

I really want to appreciate how Liam Blackman helped me at the self check outs. He went above and beyond when my card got declined and we tried the other till. Such staff members bring an essence to humanity. The level of patience and being thoughtful was appreciated immensely.

Well where do I start? Firstly I didn't even want to give a one star, the experience I had during the summer holidays was horrendous. That lady who works up in the cafe (older lady, face like a bulldog chewing a wasp) terrible customer service, her attitude, shouting at customers and telling them to go elsewhere. Spoke to the cafe manager and she was just an absolute wetwipe, so after having upset children because of this horrible lady upstairs, we wanted to speak to the store manager, however they was not available upon request, but we did speak to a lovely gent who was supervisor at that time. He was very prompt and sorted even told us he knew which member of staff we was talking about. That in itself speaks volumes, however as he seen we was distressed he kindly gave us vouchers for the terrible service we received. He has blonde hair bleached earrings in tall and slim,not asking him to care but he was very compassionate and brilliant. He is a credit to your store.

Closes the Scan&Go terminals 35 mins before they close. Genius! Takes us even longer to get out of the store, since we then have to scan everything at the end.
