Popped in to get a prescription, asked the price of the flu jab.Explained I have it for my job in care, was told I could have it free and they could give it to me straight away and was taken in to consulting room.Pharmacist also very happy to answer questions I had about other health issues.I explained about difficulties I was having with my eyes and she gave me free eye drops for dry eyes under a scheme they run, I can't remember the name.The pharmacist was a joy to talk to and gave excellent advice, I can't praise her enough A +++ service

The good(ish): the item I needed was in stock (though not the quantity I was presecribed).The bad: I was addressed in a manner that I haven't heard since I was a schoolboy (60 years ago). "Sit over there". When my item was ready, my name was called and the item was handed to me without a hint of eye contact (and without mention of the missing quantity). My thanks were ignored. The woman serving me seemed to regard me in much the same way that I might regard something unpleasant that I'd stepped in.That said, she seemed to be quite kind in her dealing with another customer. Perhaps she thought that I didn't appreciate (or even deserve) good manners.

I have been using Mayberry Pontypool for well over 20 years now! And I can honestly say that I?ve always received excellent service from the team.All the staff are really courteous and helpful, and they try to do everything they can to help all patients. The additional services they offer at the pharmacy to promote health & wellbeing are extremely invaluable. And carried out to a really high standard. And all enquiries dealt with in a friendly yet professional manner. Excellent service?

Unable to get a response on the telephone, I have a home delivery of medication and unable to find out when I might receive them, emailed them too, no response. Found another tel number to ring, it was answered but as I was asking my question the phone was put down. So rude. Dreadful customer service.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, like to go the extra mile. Always had medication I've required. Also offer a drop off service which is reliable too.It's great to have medical advice available quickly without having to see my GP. They can be difficult to reach by telephone, and perhaps more seating for those waiting.The shop also feels very sparse, often over priced.

I recently completed a weeks placement as a student pharmacist at this pharmacy. All the staff are so friendly and helpful and do their best to help all patients. They carry out many services to a high standard despite it being a busy pharmacy. It was a great placement and I learnt a lot whilst being there.

absolutely terrible,have to make multiple visits before you get your medicines and then find that they still owe you items or has got the perscription wrong.

I've used Mayberry for years now. But multiple times I've had to ring them due to not delivering when my Doctor's prescribed that day or even 3 days afterwards has made me feel let down and disappointed. Case in point, I was prescribed meds ASAP,. on Monday,. yet it's Weds and despite me ringing the last two days, I've had NO response. Finally rang my doctor's surgery to ask them to chase the prescription up. Using their Bat Phone I presume. Anyhoo,. No doubt I'll be changing my pharmacy. I have no choice.,

Worse pharmacy I have ever delt with prescriptions are never ready or there lost or the can't find the keys to the controlled drugs dropped a prescription In today and was told it would take half an hour so I said I'd come back an hour later went back got served relatively quick but then was waiting for half an hour while they searched for my script then am told there checking it then I'm asked my name again and the prescription had been ready the whole time it was in the drawer it took half hour to check the drawer total incompetence it's not the first time this has happened and now I have to go back to collect the rest of my prescription because there's tablets owing let's see how long I have to wait for them

Staff are friendly. Deb is particularly helpful. However it's almost impossible to get an answer when you ring to find out if a prescription is ready in order to avoid a wasted journey. I've no doubt they're busy but I've tried to speak to someone on the telephone today- having rung 5 times throughout the course of day - and failed to get an answer. Very frustrating.

My experience of this chemist is most times i have used this chemist at least once a month for my wife and myself I have to wait ages or call back the next day only to find it still hasn't been made up or given items that were not ordered, I changed from Lloyd's chemist to Mayberry because they were under staffed but it seems I jumped out of the frying pan into the fire, I called to collect prescription on Friday the 8th of july at 12.pm and after a 20 minute wait to get served I was asked to call back at 2.30 pm I could not make it back that day I therfore called on Monday the 11th at 4pm, after a 17 minute wait I was told that my order as not been done but it would be ready in half an hour and also my wife's prescription that she ordered on the 6th of July when I got home my wife's order was completely wrong she had only ordered one item which was not in the bag but there were five items in the bag that my wife did not order also a note saying more to follow and as I have stated above my wife didn't even order them.
