Golden Star Pontypool just ordered from here. Without doubt the worst takeaway I've ever had. Chips were soggy, rice was clearly microwaved, Beef in black bean sauce was stone cold, salty and burnt. Leftovers in pictures, btw, the chips and Chicken balls went in the Air fryer, as they were cold and soggy.....#unsaveable. Not angry, just disappointed! Tom Peacock oh, forgot to mention. It was also late.....piss poor!

First time buying a meal from The Golden Star in Pontypool, and it will be the last. The chips were inedible, rice thick and clumpy and the Cantonese sweet and sour was so rubbery we couldn?t cut it. The only half decent part of the meal was the beef in ginger with spring onions. Money straight in the bin. ?

Ordered at 6.50pm Sat 18th May, and order turned up at 9.40pm! Got through after 30mins of trying to contact them to check where order was at 8.45pm to be told it was on its way...still didn't arrive, rang them again...they hadn't turned the printer on and order wasn't received. Really?!!!Will never order from here again. Customer service diabolical. Blatant lies about delivery on its way and it was very difficult to sort problem out as their phone always off hook. Never had an experience like it from any type of take away.Avoid of you are hungry!!!

Always fantastic food, piping hot and always delicious. The staff are always friendly over the phone, in store and the delivery drivers when dropping food off.Have always been helpful in making any changes to dishes if requested. Highly recommended!
