“Reconsider if you plan a trip on the Blue Train. Were supposed to depart at 14:00 17 Jan 2022. Train was cancelled at 15:00. A 'free' flight and 2 nights in Cape Town was offered to all stranded passengers. Upon checking in for flight MN 111, passengers had to pay for their luggage, and were again let down as there were no reservations at the arranged hotel for any of the 14 stranded passengers. Needless to say, visitors from the UK were furious and South Africans deeply ashamed!”
