We ordered from this takeaway last-night. As I have a seafood allergy we were specifically cautious and followed instructions etc to avoid seafood. However, having felt immediately ill after eating, and leaving the rest, i had a closer look today and found prawns in the rice at the bottom of the box. It is clear that they weren?t mixed in to the food which is more concerning as it wasn?t simply a case of providing the wrong meal, they were only in the bottom (x5) evidencing clear cross contamination. I spoke to them today, and the resolution ?a free item with my next order? and a total lack of regard for the severity of what it could have meant. Fortunately I am okay aside from a continued iffy stomach. Really concerning, and have reported as needed. I have attached photos to evidence that it wasn?t an ordering mistake etc.

Orderd special chow mean, it came dyed red, which looked unappetising and tasted quite bland. The fried rice was dry and hard, like it had been cooked well ahead of time.

Sadly, although the food is lovely, you?ll be waiting 2 hours minimum for delivery even though they say 30 minutes. Then when it arrives 9 times out of 10 the order will be incorrect and you?ll be waiting another hour for them to correct it. Useless service. If you try to complain the answer is ?nothing we can do?. Unprofessional. Doesn?t surprise me after they got investigated and charged for illegal workers.

Ordered food, arrived an hour later missing items from the order. Rung to request missing items immediately, told it would be 30 minutes. 1.5 hours later and it?s still not here. They blamed traffic and the rain. Firstly we live in wales and secondly it?s less than 10 minutes drive away. Useless service, completely unreliable when you?ve got a family waiting to eat together.

Haven't tried this place for a while as I wasn't impressed last time -- wasn't pleased this time either -couldn't finish the food very dry and not a lot of taste. Will be going further afield as I have been having classy Chinese food else where. Sorry but try and put more than just soya sauce in your dishes!!!

Drove nearly 10miles out of our way because my girlfriend like the food from Hot Wok got home to fined my chicken curry was missing from the order and I had been given very expensive curry sauce so ended up with half a meal

First time to use The Hot Wok and what a lovely surprise. Staff were very pleasant at the counter and the food was piping hot on collection.The food was lovely. All the meats were tender and cooked perfectly. We both enjoyed our meals which was chicken in a black bean sauce and special curry. The prawn crackers were very tasty and beautifully crisp!!A brilliant take away and one not to miss!!
