One of the first diners just after 5pm yesterday, had a lovely meal with the family. Kids ate free (summer holiday benefit) and had a very generous amount of food, as did the two adult meals. Kids had many compliments about the food as did the adults, if I had to mention one tiny discrepancy was that the salmon might've been very slightly over done on one side, but still full of flavour and tasty.

My friend and I often have catch up and try different venues. We went to Tafarn y Deri and tried the Carvery, and to say we weren't disappointed was an understatement. The Beef was out of this world, and didn't need a knife to cut it. The cauliflower cheese was delicious. I have tried many Carvery but this one was the best yet, definitely will be returning to try their other menus.

Lovely and quiet place to stay and the food is immense. Tonight I had the peppery chicken dish which was very tasty, and an amazing Bounty Cheesecake to finish off. It was the best cheesecake I've ever tried!

A Fantastic Find ? So Glad Our Plans Changed!
Credit where credit?s due?I felt compelled to leave a review after such a great experience.
On Friday, April 11th, 2025, a group of 10 of us had a last-minute change in plans when our original booking at another restaurant fell through. We decided to give Tafarn Y Deri - Llanedi a try, even though none of us had been since well before the pandemic?and with new owners in place, we were curious to see what had changed.
And we were so pleasantly surprised.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a lovely family-friendly vibe. The recent refurbishment has really brightened the space?it used to feel quite dark, but not anymore. The highlight for me was the gorgeous cloud ceiling with LED lights above our table?such a fun and cozy touch!
The restaurant was spotless, with a great layout?plenty of space between tables so you don?t feel cramped. The ambience was relaxed and inviting, making it a really comfortable place to enjoy a meal.
The staff were brilliant?friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely accommodating. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who were just as lovely and clearly passionate about what they?re doing.
Now, the food?wow. It?s not often that every single person in a large group raves about their meal, but all 10 of us were seriously impressed. We had a wide range of dishes, from perfectly cooked steaks and hearty lasagnes to flavourful curries and a classic ham dish. I went for the pie of the day?corned beef?and it was absolutely delicious. The portions were spot on, and one of the standout touches? Proper homemade chips?not the frozen kind you get in most places. It made a real difference.
I also had the pâté starter, and it was fantastic?the onion chutney that came with it was honestly to die for.
Yes, the prices are a little higher than your typical chain restaurant, but the quality of the food more than justifies it. None of us had a single complaint?it was worth every penny.
I?d wholeheartedly recommend Tafarn Y Deri. They also offer takeaway, host special events, and run themed evenings, which I?m definitely keeping an eye on?we?re already talking about when we can come back.

We've visited several times recently, because I wanted to try some of the new menu. I had the chicken fajitas and my wife had the pie of the day. Both meals were excellent. The chicken for the fajitas was served on a hot plate. You could hear it sizzling from the kitchen. It was absolutely mouthwatering! Superb meal.
We also had the carvery tonight which was also excellent. A great selection of vegetables (even had cheesy leaks and cauliflower cheese as options) and a generous helping of turkey and pork (beef was also available)
Both of us were absolutely stuffed to the brim, so we couldn't even manage a dessert.
If you've not been here recently since the menu update, I recommend paying a visit. There is a great selection of foods. They even have an all you can eat on a Thursday evening. Fill your boots, because you won't be eating again for a week after it!

Booked for a large group for a 70th birthday meal.
Service was spot on and the food was enjoyed by all 21 family members so speaks volumes if you're looking to book for a large group??.
The prices were very good considering the high quality and large portion sizes.
Also great views towards the coast facing side of the venue.

Had a really nice meal here last night , the garlic bread with cheese was one of the best I have had . Food was piping hot and obviously cooked fresh . The sweets which are made in house were also very nice . Will visit again .
