Took my mum here this afternoon and it was fantastic. Had the chicken in peppercorn and I could have eaten it all over again. Delicious.

Used to be nice club owned and run by local members. Has now gone down hill badly. Teenagers with no Idea working behind bar, serving teenage friends who are unable to hold alcohol, and causing trouble. Stewardess who is not local has very bad attitude, too many poor meals and wrong orders

Good range on menu including veggie/vegan - unusual in other parts of rural Wales I've found. Extremely friendly and well organised staff team. We were lucky in finding them hosting a young funky jazz band, Full Phat. Catch them if you can. The next night they were at the Mumbles.Vegetarian options: We shared halloumi chips with dip starter. Excellent.

Whilst staying in the nearby three cliffs campsite we were looking for some "pub food" with our extended family including 2 young children and a dog. The Southgate was just what we needed, delicious food for all (including sausages for the dog) and the staff were so welcoming. So much so that me, my husband and the dog visited a few days later for round two. Again 5 stars all the way.Definitely recommend ? ??????????

Few minutes walk from the Gower coastal path, a lovely picturesque walk from Three cliffs bay campsite, stunning views along the way and such a nice friendly pub. The sun was shining as we sat in the beer garden terrace, great choice of beers and cider. Large menu and our meals were delicious, lamb chops decent size and local. Highly recommend stopping here.

I held my wife?s birthday here and an amazing time was had by all. Christine, Dave and the team were superb and a number of guests commented on how good the buffet was and I cannot recommend this venue enough to host a party!

Fantastic local bar and restaurant . We sat in the bar as we had our dog with us the locals were very friendly and made a great fuss of the dog. The food was beyound our expectation, first class will go again.

Lovely service, food and drink.We booked (because it can get busy) but no need in the end. We went for 13:30 . Good size portions. All of us enjoyed the food.

Disappointing overpriced basic food. Not one item of fresh food in the 5 meals that we ordered. Such a shame as the menu sounded nice.
