Really really poor experience. I took up the Easycare Contact lens direct debit scheme. For my first ever delivery I was sent the wrong prescription for my left eye, a mistake but not the stores fault. However, after that was sorted and my prescription was corrected, no sign at all of my replacement lenses even after 10 days despite me chasing up at least 4 times. I then cancelled my Easycare scheme as was clearly a waste of time and not a good sign of what may happen if I needed to top up lenses quickly. The lenses have never turned up (or may be because I'm no longer in the easy care scheme they have rather childishly decided to not let me have them ), but that's assuming they were ever ordered. Very disappointing. Still no replacement lenses even after a month

Never been here before! Went for an emergency appointment after I got something in my eye. The staff are all excellent really efficient and professional. Went back for a follow up, different staff equally as good! Definitely recommend!

After visiting a different branch recently, I have been encouraged to revisit my experience with the Penarth branch in 2023.
During my recent eye test at a different branch, I was informed there isn?t a record of me having an eye test, buying glasses, having a contact lens appointment or buying contact lenses from the Penarth store. According to the new branches records, my last eye test was in 2020 at Cowbridge, not Penarth in 2023 where I spent £155 on glasses and contacted lenses.
The issues started when I purchased my contact lenses (which I was charged £60 for on the day of my contact lens trial, despite now being told by my new branch that you?re supposed to trial them for a whole week, then make payment if they?re the right lenses for you) I didn?t receive the lenses despite being told I would receive them 3 days after my appointment. I called the branch and spoke to a boys who couldn?t help, then passed the call to a lady who spoke down to me. Advising they hasn?t received money from me and I would not be receiving the lenses until I could prove I paid for them. As belittled as I felt, I went to the store and showed them my bank statement. There wasn?t an apology, a friendly face, nothing. Just told I would receive them. I then contacted the online web chat support advising of the situation and requesting a copy of my prescription so I could buy contact lenses elsewhere and receive a refund. On the prescription I noticed a completely different address, I asked the person if the address was a real address or if it was pretend for security reasons, I was advised ?no, it?s your address? I pointed out that the address was one I had never seen before and whenever I was asked to confirm my address for DPA, it had always passed. 2023 was a very bad year for me and I didn?t have it in me to fight for my money or contact lenses anymore. I cannot believe this branch do not have a record of my being a patient here, spending my hard earned money here and not resending my contact lenses or giving me a refund. They still have £60 of my money.
