Having been many times before, our visit on Thursday evening ended disappointingly when it came to an abrupt end by being asked to leave at 11pm. It wasn't till later i checked the website which said it closed at 11:30, so 30 mins before the stated closing time on the website and with wine unfinished. It was unusually quiet anyway for a Thu eve, it's normality packed. About 10:30 the front door was propped open so it went very cold, maybe 10 or 15 mins later the main lights were turned up full so atmosphere definitely killed off and then about 10:55 we were asked to leave. I've never had that before, not there or in any restaurant, it felt like being in a very old fashioned spit and sawdust pub at closing time, very odd.

This place has become very expensive. We used to come here about a year ago, and we know Spanish cuisine really well. It used to be quite good and semi-authentic Spanish, with meal portions reflecting Spanish generosity. NOW, the portions are really small (e.g. 3 thin slices of Manchego cheese for one 'tapas', at £2 per slice). The size of each of the dishes was noticeably reduced (e.g 3 small anchovies for 2 people). Really disappointing visit this time. Food quality was ok, but nothing exceptional. We won't be back.

Located in Penarth town centre, offers a mix of high table seating and standard tables. The atmosphere is inviting, though the layout feels slightly divided between casual and a bar.
The Negroni was disappointing as overly diluted and lacking the bold bitterness that makes the cocktail shine. The burnt orange garnish added a pleasant smokiness, but it couldn?t save the overall balance.
The red mullet itself was fairly basic, but the dish was elevated by the hospitable cabbage and a flavorful green sauce with sobrasada butter.
The artichoke had great flavor, but some pieces were excessively chewy and would have benefited from a longer grill time. However, the almond romesco with truffled Manchego was excellent and rich, nutty, and deeply satisfying.
The baby squid with Fino, garlic, and herbs was well-executed, delivering delicate flavors with just the right amount of seasoning.
For January, they offer a roll of the dice for a discount of up to 44% off ,
I landed 22%, which was a fun touch.
While some dishes showed promise, a few missteps held the experience back. Worth a visit, but with tempered expectations.

5 of us went there and we enjoyed it very much. Food was good, we shared tapas and the spicy margarita is lip smacking!!

We went for the lunch deal, this is really good value, three tapas and a drink for £22. The food is genuinely delicious. Try the Motions chicken.

My first time at this delicious food place in Penarth. The menu has a variety of options, and friendly staff but the time we visited was a bit crowded and loud. Will go back again at a different time.

We didn't book a table, but we weren't eating, so they said we could have a table in the window which was booked in an hour. The service was excellent, professional and friendly. We would definitely return.
