Went in for a takeaway. Staff was friendly, food didn?t take long. We got several different items and everything was pretty tasty.

This is the best Chinese takeaway I have eaten so far in the UK. Also there price is surprisingly cheap. The prawn chowmein is 7.3£ but there were like 7-8 prawns in it. Other shops are not that generous. We also ordered pork ribs and beef sliced which are also very good. The food is super hot as well. And they gave free prank crackers- like insanely affordable.
Staff also very kind ??

What a scummy dive. Service is awful and the building looks like a 70s throw back. Its had a renovation that looks like it was done by 4 year old coke. What is with the name, it definitely not a carvery and hasn?t been for 40+ years. They?ve definitely made up the food hygiene rating, hygiene left that building 20 years ago even the rats have abandoned the place. Do not waste your time.

I really enjoyed the food here but OMG the restaurant was freezing! Even the waitresses were wearing big coats! I hope this is a temporary situation as I'd love to return, but only if it's warm.

We are home cooks who love a great Chinese and we have used this takeaway for authentic dishes for 8 years. The negative reviews really get to us. Try the special fried rice, beef & black bean, shrimp chow mien, kung po chilli duck, sweet & sour pork. If you want fresh, consistently good Chinese food you will love it. It has never been greasy or bad, so we felt we just had to support and leave a positive review. Our suggestion is that if you like cheap chips and curry sauce just go to a local chip takeaway! Sorry to be frank but FACT ;-)

Oh my faith in takeaways is restored! After a disastrous "Indian" from somewhere on Main Street, this Chinese was a test and they passed with flying colours! VERY TASTY FOOD, huge portions, and very quick. Our takeaway was hot and delicious, so we will DEFINITELY be coming back again. Thank you Pembroke Carvery, your Chinese food is the best!

Not a very nice place all in all, waiting area could do with a good clean. We ordered a meal which consisted of 1 chicken curry (no rice), which was like dishwater, tasteless and bland but plenty of squared diced chicken in, 1 bag undercooked soggy chips yuk, 1 special chow Mein, all noodles very little meat but was ok! , and 6 spare ribs dry yuk yuk yuk. they were full of grease, they were deep fried probably same chip fat cause that?s all you could taste, over cooked and just dripping with oil, managed to try it but threw it away but that?s £32 .25 that little lot cost us, . I rang to complain, owner Very was very abrupt! Didn?t listen, had to keep telling her to listen, and rude, eventually she said I will give you credit next time you come in. Say your name, . Put the phone down. After thought we decided we were NEVER going to eat there again due to the rudeness of the owner and the food so next day we took the ribs back when they opened at 5pm, Well what can I say the owner again ver short and abrupt asking what do you want, trying to be very over powering, the chef kept popping his head out of the door, hubby asked for a refund !! Well omg iWe Even took pictures to show her the mess in a bag and oil on my hands, she didn?t want to know, justhow many ribs in bag, hubby said 4 left we threw the other 2 away ! She would only refund for the 4, and only gave us £11 back from working it out in the menu should have been £12.40 they were £3.10 eachThen she said she has given them to us cheaper ?? cause we had 6We will never be returning here again would rather cook my own Chinese,

Takeaway on first night of our holiday. Food seemed to be cooked very quickly and was hot, however , we found it to be of poor quality, egg Foo Yung was rubbery, Kung po beef, described as hot and spicy, was bland and the beef appeared boiled not fried. Overall a disappointment, won't bother again.

Food was a bit bland kung pao had zero spice. Ribs were so dry they weren't worth the effort, gave up.

Ordered a takeaway and suggested that I needed it spicy. While collecting the food the girls were speaking in one the Chinese language and laughing at me which I think it's rude but I am not going to dwell on that. The food was OK without any flavor as you could find easily in a Singapore fried rice , hence the 3 stars.
