Living local to the museum, we had not thought to visit before, however, during the summer, we chose to visit three local places of interest in one day, and we were amazed.Plenty of free parking, a beautiful building, filled with the history of Pembroke Dock, the flying boats and had the most amazing people working/volunteering there. The exhibits are beautiful, have been arranged well, and even features a large Star Wars section, on the building of the Millenium Falcon, the iconic starship piloted by Hans Solo. The museum features a lot of art, has exhibits you can step into, and sit in, such as the cockpit of a Sunderland type aircraft and you can finish your stay having a cup of tea at the cafe.Purchase a year ticket, or pay the family gift aid and your receipt is valid for 12 months, very good value.

A real eye opener of a place to go... It maybe a small Museam to go but the History it has collected..is overwhelming. The History of Pembroke Dock was a true inspiration to others who have lived and worked in Pembroke.A cool place to come .. I was there for a hour and a half and could stay longer. But I am not going to say anything whats inside... because it will spoil it ..

Went here for the what looks like an amazing millennium falcon exhibition. Absolutely gutted, the exhibition is no bigger than my living room. No original props etc. Everything on display can be summed up in one webpage. Don't recommend visiting unless you are interested in Pembroke dock history. Star wars complete let down. The museum in general very interesting.

A lovely atmosphere with the opportunity to read well presented information on wartime and social history accompanying the exhibits.Volunteers are willing and able to help with any questions and are also extremely friendly.Perhaps not a children's venue unless specifically interested in the subject matter.

Brilliant little spot of local aviation history and dockyard history. The staff/volunteers were so welcoming and helpful.. also a bonus to any star wars fans the original millennium falcon was built in the dockyard and they had a little exhibition on the making of it... Brilliant artifacts and steeped in local history well worth the visit..

I was really impressed about this museum. Firstly, it was a nice surprise that Pembroke dock town has connection with Star Wars movie - Millennium Falcon ship was built here and there is an exhibition for it. I didn't know a fact that world famous ship Erebus was built in Pembroke dock too. A lot of interesting information about the importance of Pembroke dock in World War II. I think those who are interested in naval history or aviation will love it. I took me about hour and half to look around and read the information. There is a cafe too.

To provide context, I travelled from 200 miles away to see this with my father. I did that on the basis of the Star Wars exhibit that made national news when it opened. I knew ahead of time it wasn't going to have any kind of walkable section of the Falcon (props to the centre for clarifying that on their site), but was nonetheless underwhelmed given the amount of news versus the space of the exhibit (the centrepiece of which is made up of the Build Your Own Falcon magazine kit), considering how far I drove. There is a TV playing a video which was just from a popular YouTuber talking through their own model/collection.That aside, the rest of the center has a trove of interesting things, especially on the Sunderland. The vibe of the centre is cosy and chilled out. It wasn't a bad experience overall, but if you're going as a Star Wars fan you should be aware that that exhibit is especially small and you may come away frustrated.

Enthusiastic volunteers man this wonderful museum charting the history of Pembroke Dock shipbuilding and it's association with the Sunderland flying boat during WW2. A Sunderland flight simulator is also available. Take the time to look around the many exhibits and talk to the volunteers. Very worthwhile.

Nice small museum with a variety of port related info. Friendly staff and volunteers make you very welcome. There is a link to Star Wars and the Millennium Falcon.

This volunteer-led heritage centre is a gem. The interpretations and exhibits are very well curated and the friendly volunteers brought everything to life by sharing information about Pembroke Dock's role in WWII. There is a particular focus on Sunderland Seaplanes as they were based at Pembroke Dock to support the Atlantic Crossings during WWII. There is parking outside the former Georgian Chapel and it is fully accessible for visitors with limited mobility, including a gently sloped ramp at the entrance and a wheelchair accesslible toilet. The small coffee shop offers hot and cold drinks, crisps, cakes and ice creams.

It is a fantastic museum with onsite retired UK navy providing guiding service. The place is not big but it will be better to spare a whole morning / afternoon to stay because there are also may models to study.
