“My partner and I stayed here just for the night but we were very impressed. The hotel is currently in the middle of renovations however our room was beautifully furnished, cosy and wanting for nothing (fresh milk in the fridge was a great touch). The bed was very comfortable, two power points with USB and USB-C on each side as well as a bar fridge, microwave and large TV. This plus a pub downstairs and incredibly friendly owners, what more could you ask for?Would recommend to anyone.PS. Please note many of the photos on Google Maps are pre-reno.”

“Didn't stay here but did join a group staying at the Middlegate for drinks and supper. Clearly needs some love and attention but can't fault the staff for going out of their way to make sure the group had a good experience. This included providing my coeliac husband with the best dessert ever. So thank you Middlegate and good luck with this hotel”
