Visited for lunch as a treat. Really wished we hadn?t.
Took a little while to have our presence noticed.
No fish, so no fish ?n? chips, no lasagne, no mash, no tuna. Opted for a cheese and ham toastie with a side of chips and my friend ordered toast with fried eggs on top and mushrooms.
We had tea to drink. The tea bags were Tetley allegedly but tasted like cheap value tea bags.
The wait was 30 minutes. Yet barely any customers. The food came out eventually but was incorrect. We were presented with the egg on toast, a side of chips and 2 plates of scampi. My toastie had not made it onto the system. Not a problem I was told. Only takes a couple of minutes. And sure enough I was served with a warm sandwich.

Overcooked eggs that were not fresh. Dried out mushrooms. The toastie was not toasted at all.
Tables were not being cleared and the staff appeared lack lustre.
At the checkout we mentioned it to the cashier who just happened to be the customer service manager. Showed her the photos.
We were refunded swiftly and given a voucher.
We will not be returning to the cafe any time soon.
Given the amount of negative reviews I hope management will take action and turn this around.

Visit regularly and most times there's only breakfast on sale got nothing else. Breakfast is fair price but bacon is undercooked and sausages are cheap and nasty

TLDR - Long wait times, tables not cleaned in over an hour, food average, and no apologies offered by the staff.
Cafe was about 1/4 of max capacity. Was warned it would be a 10 to 15 minute wait time.
35 minute wait for 1 large breakfast and Egg on toast.
Once it came out, no apologies were given by the staff, which was the final nail in the coffin from a service perspective.
The kitchen area is not big enough to accommodate the amount of tables offered. If more than 3 people order a breakfast, the delays mount up.
In the hour I was there, none of the tables around me were cleared, and remained dirty with cutlery from the previous diners.
If this is how it is at this capacity, I?d hate to imagine what it?s like when the cafe is full.
Food was decent, enjoy the fried bread and the eggs were tasty. Bacon portion wasn?t great though, very small rashers, same with the sausages.

When it comes to lunch here, my experience hasn't always been great. I can't fault the staff who really work hard, but they are very often short staffed and low on food, meaning most of the time I can't get the meals I saw and liked. However, for coffee and cake it's lovely here. Reasonably priced, good tasting coffee and really nice selection of snacks, also reasonably priced. Yes, there are obvious problems with a lack of staff and seemingly out of stock of menu items often.. but a very pleasant experience to have a coffee there as a break from the weekly shop!

Clean but the service is diabolical. Incredibly slow and food items are often not available. Last time it took so long from the staff to find clean cups / mugs the hot water in my teapot had reduced to tepid. Absolutely useless.

The food here is always a dissapointment, everytime i come here i hope maybe its better, and everytime i am left with incredibly greasy food that gives me stomach ache. Place feels crowded, music is always crunchy sounding and too loud. My sister got a cheese toasty, litteraly 2 toasted slices of bread and a heap of grease they call cheese in the middle. £4. Absolutely unbelievable.

I have always rated Morrisons Newtown but my experience this time was the worst I have ever had. On arrival helped myself to a pot of tea and headed for the till to order my meal. Asked for fish and chips. Sorry no fish and chip ? Ok Steak pie them please Sorry no steak pie Heck what's happening here today ? Ok I will have a burger then Sorry we are not doing burgers today. Really? How about braised beef then ? Sorry not got that either. We can do sausage and mash ! No let's just forget it ( at this point a lady shouts out it's because we have no staff ) This was a Wednesday lunch time around 1.30. Basically they only had breakfast items. The cafe at this store is usually excellent. Not sure what has gone wrong. While the lady said that were short staffed there seemed to be at least three people working. So I left hungry but stopped at Aberystwyth who also had no fish and chips but did have my second choice. It seems to me that standards are falling at Morrisons since the Americans have taken over. Tried again today 29th December same again just breakfast items at lunchtime. No staff was informed and lots left having trouble recruiting. Such a shame the Americans have ruined this business
