Amazing little cafe . Had a salmon cucumber bap and custard slice . Was soo lush . Daughter had tuna bap and 2 egg custards . Not expensive . Staff were lovely . Service was fab . Even took some cake home with us .Will be back again .

This place is a really nice cafe with a few tables to sit and drink. Best Chelsea buns, but prices recently went up to £3! They used to do eat in meals but since covid that hasn?t been the case anymore. Overall, very good.

Just like everyone's reviews, the Chelsea buns are to die for. The best I've ever tasted and that goes for the whole selection of cakes and freshly made sandwiches, also the sausage rolls are amazing. Let's all keep this iconic cake shop going because it's a landmark in Newtown and the Evans family are all lovely local people .

called in to grab something to take home for lunch. Evans is ?famous ? for its Chelsea buns so grabbed one and a savoury roll.Service prompt but no hint of a smile ,don?t know if the lady serving was having a bad life(always had this style of service from her for a number of years) Really off putting-failed charm school obviously then to add the icing on top of this bitter cake the Chelsea bun dry and stale whilst the chicken roll full of cranberry sauce and very very little meat.My advice shop elsewhere-better service,better quality and can use cards as Evans only take cash under £5 sales(not convenient at times)

A great selection of handmade cakes available that are fresh and delicious. You can also sit in and have a hot drink and something more substantial to eat. Very clean and tidy and an excellent place to visit for a snack.
