Argos is now a rare sight on the high street, so it was interesting to go in and have a browse. Huge open spaces inside and staff standing around doing little. I did wonder if the store was in the process of closing down as it was so bare.

I will never shop here again brought a cooker off Newtown Argos store 6weeks ago the cooker was faulty the day I got and although they finally took the cooker back 15days later still waiting for refund disgusting service from a bunch of lieing Argos staff beware

Pick products from catalog take order to counter and pay,not very long wait before purchase is handed over if in difficulty the staff are very helpful adding to a pleasurable shopping experience

Absolutely fantastic during this awful pandemic. Helpful friendly staff, as always. Maintaining professionalism and safety during this strange times. Having click and collect during lockdown has been a godsend especially at Christmas. Even though you have to stand out side, it was pouring with rain, they even offered every customer a umbrella to borrow. Couldnt ask for more.

Argos Newtown in my experience has the worst concept of Covid 19 in the last 12 months of being a consumer only in Argos have I found you cannot buy most of the products they have instock due to a known website/app issue the staff use Covid as an opportunity to avoid serving customers if you can get in store in the week get ready to be apprehended when you enter and questioned on your existence frantically by different members of staff that don?t communicate and I must stress in no other store did I feel as alienated and offended for being mental health exempt for a face mask. Ps if your colour blind you have to immediately go to the purple steps so prepare yourself.

Refused to accept my Scottish money claiming the number of forgeries and that the police hadn't given them a check sheet. This had been reported in the news papers in August 2020, ( I was there May 2021) and was for the paper notes not the polymer ones.

If you don't have to then don't...the staff in there are some of the worst I have come across in any shop anywhere, they're beyond rude, if you walk in be prepared to be made to feel like you are a criminal and be interrogated as to your purpose for being there...I was the only person in the shop yesterday and they treated me like I'd walked in with a cart of covid goodiebags

Over dramatic about COVID-19, as in its a massive shop with hardly any customers but you have to have someone bossing you about even though they don?t have that at any other shop even tiny cramed ones. In other words it?s annoying. But its the only shop that has good technology in Newtown so I?ll give you that

Awful company. Awful store. Awful management. Complete disregard for Consumer Rights Act 2015. Avoid at all costs. Selling financial products to vulnerable people without making sure the products are right for them. Not accepting returns of faulty goods.
