Lovely variety of books! All sorts of genres! Price is quite reasonable. In addition, they have plenty of extra bits and bobs such as some book marks and board games which was lovely to see, staff really kind and helpful too

Lady with brown hair was very condescending when I asked for a certain author she took me to the different sections but then asked if I wanted to see the picture books for very young children - in a very patronising tone - made me feel rather uncomfortable and wasn't very sincere

We popped into store Sat for my 13 year old very advanced reader to purchase some new material, this is always a very difficult shop for us not only due to his reading level and the nature of the books available but he also finds the process very overwhelming. We were stopped by the lovely Leoni who asked if she could help, now this may seem normal but she asked so many questions to really help find what she not only thought he would enjoy but that would be suitable also to his younger age! She was so informative and nothing seemed too much trouble, after a while of gathering books she directed us to the sofa to take a read of each and see what he liked, we?ve never experienced this in any book shop or library we have been to (there has been many) the other staff were lovely but what a credit to Waterstones this lady is! We purchased 7 books that day and left with a list ready for our next shopping trip which I can guarantee you will not be anywhere else but Newport Waterstones!! Thank you from a very out of her depth parent and her 13 year old book worm

The staff here are incredibly welcoming and friendly, which makes every visit a pleasure. The only downside is the limited selection of books on pagan subjects. While there?s an abundance of material on more popular religions and beliefs, it would be great to see a broader range of pagan-focused titles in the future.

I had forgotten how pleasant it is to browse in a book shop.The books were very well presented, there were clearly offers and notes of explanation on shelves.Service was good.I will visit again soon.

Excellent selection of books but very soured by the fact that they give paper bags for products sensitive to water in a country famous for its rain. The bag broke in the rain and 2 books were ruined by falling in road.I don't know who's idea it was to switlch to paper bags and still charge 25p for the bags that ultimately were responsible for destroying 2 books I just bought but they should be fired.

This is book shop, and should remain one. Disappointed as a parent who would like to invite his child to pick up some book of his interests, unfortunately due to pile stock of different toys child gets distracted. Parents have enough dealing with everywhere marketing that targets kids, there is enough toy stores. Can you please become book shop? And deliver on your mission?
