Went to the pub for New Years eve following a recommendation from a friend who attended last year. But, after hearing from her the standard of the buffet was second to none my expectations were quite high, So I very disappointed with the buffet which was served. Not only was the buffet filled with beige food, the amount served was insufficient for the amount of people it was catering for.

Good and bad. 8 of us came for an evening out. Staff were friendly and polite and the menu looked good. We ordered various meals but unfortunately two out of the eight were inedible. The dishes that included rice were very acidic and were unable to be consumed. It was a disappointment. However they were gracious enough to remove these from the bill. Our only other gripe was the smoke that poured in from the outside smoking area when someone returned from outside. The double doors for this area opened straight into the dining area to where people were eating. Unfortunately some smokers left the doors open on their return which was unpleasant for diners. As previously stated, most of our meals were good and were tasty and the chips were delicious

Late luncheon with friends. Expected it to be busy in pre Christmas week, but it wasn't. Consequently we got served quite quickly by a cheery young lady. Good value 2 meals for £17. Limited choice, fish, beef brisket etc. Would say the meals were tasty and piping hot, not brilliant but good for a lunchtime. Very reasonable, good service too.
