“This garage has everything apart from the obvious service station stuff. It's the local postoffice. Has a large selection of food and beverages. Also it sells cakes etc that are home made which are quite delicious. Very much worth a look in.”

“Staff are always very friendly and welcoming. You're filtered out from the drinks that appear at the kiosk and are allowed to browse the store. Those working here are a credit to their employers. Thank you. Fuel priced high so - 1 star.”

“It is what it is just Asda no nonsense shopping polite and helpful staff. Although I think we are paying for the store at the checkout as it's not as cheap as other asda's I've visited.”

“Its clean and tidy on approach to the double doors they still have a light system to make sure customers stay safe the staff are behond lovely they are very approachable and very nice and speak to u even though they dont know u which is lovely some days all anyone wants is a chat but lovely garage a bit more pricey than Tesco itself but its what u expect as it's a garage but lovely place lovely and respectable staff”

“The cleanest service station and with the cleanest toilets I've used in months . Staff who know how to wear a uniform, which is clean and ironed. This team clearly take a real pride in all that they do. ( HGV driver who travels 1500 to 2000 miles a week)”

“The pay and pump system was a new concept to me when I first came here, there's no option to pay at a till, all done with the card. That being said, the fuel rates offered here compared to other places I've been to are amazing, almost 10p cheaper than the ones I typically use, absolutely worth coming here if you can to refuel.”

“But disappointed with the "experience" if buying fuel actually - Price being 8p more per litre than another fuel station just half a mile away... On top of that - the pumps look like they're from the early 2000's - badly need an update, a digital screen would be a nice touch in 2020, not flicker boards.Similarly there's no cap on the amount of fuel you can purchase anywhere else (the "fuel crisis" ended months ago!) Yet a paper notice taped on stating max purchase £30 ... Yeah all well and good, but with the inflated pricing, youre effectively capping my purchase at just under 16 litres! My car holds 62 litres and I was on fuel light... Yeah thanks for my whopping quarter of a tank ...”

“Easy to find, big car park. Cheap petrol and diesel stores. Got everything. Cleaners tidy, cakes flowers, sandwiches? Home stuff, clothing pots and pans, food shopping”

“Very helpful staff. I'm a very slow walker from the pump to the cashier. As the pump didn't accept my nectar card. It was just as well, even with the pain of the walk the cashier was lovely. I always fill up there while in Newport, as they have really good prices, store choose and great staff in the petrol station and shop. See you all again soon.”

“Good petrol station with plenty of pumps, although there can be queues at busier times. The prices are usually fairly competitive with other petrol stations in Newport. The kiosk is well stocked and the staff are generally friendly. There is an ATM on site (next to the kiosk), along with the usual air, water and vacuum (behind the kiosk). The petrol station has a manual car wash as well as an automated car wash, although these not always open.”

“Visited this place because there is an M&S here which is well stocked and convenient.I do buy fuel here occasionally and they also have decent coffee and hot snacks.”

“This has always had a really good pay at pump service which is so convenient. It saves long queues in the shop to pay.Only downside is the once well stocked shop now has next to nothing to buy at all.”

“Tesco's petrol station here was an Esso garage. There are 8 pumps and a air and water fuelling station that costs 50p. This place has adequate parking for those who wish to use the shop but sometimes people can be inconsiderate and I the Block the front entrance in the no parking area or to the side of the building where Austin disc and Tampa exiting the site. There is a cash machine outside and they sell flowers which are of a reason to good quality and great value. They also tend to sell seasonal goods so at the moment it's all things barbecue. The staff are very kind friendly and really helpful when looking for things and will often pack your bag if you are doing shopping.”

“Snacks are good, some are expensive and others are "ok" priced, but its good to buy things that you can't find in other stores nearby. Reading the other reviews apparently it's not so good for car products, but I'm a student so... :-)”

“Sometimes I visit this supermarket when I need to make the necessary purchase of household goods and food. The quality of some products leaves much to be desired, but this disadvantage is compensated by quite reasonable prices.”

“Having had to pop there late at night on Tuesday 5th January, I came across a dodgy bloke by the bus stop who continued to follow me round to the garage ,being a bit unnerved I explained to the young female worker my predicament, as he was still hanging around she accompanied me outside until police arrived . Can't thank her enough. Just wish I had got her name ❤️”

“Had to visit the passport office to replace damaged passport. Great to discover parking here at ASDA. Arrived early so had tea cake and coffee in ASDA cafe. The best teacakes ever, full of fruit and a bean to cup coffee machine was another second suprise!”
