Just had the worst bag of chips served by the most rude and misrable person. No please or thank you. Just hands the change. The chips were soggy and threw them away.
This is one of the best chippies in Newport and the owner is always cheerful and helpful. You need to pass on some of your great customer skills to the misrable beggar who is void of manners.

Do not recommend.
Ordered and paid for the food online for collection at 12:20 on 01/07/2024. Arrived for this time to a closed shop. Was then asked if we wanted the food today, obviously we did as that's when we ordered it.
The oil hadn't even been heated up so had to wait for that before the food was even cooked. Due to knowing we would have to wait for the food I paid for to be cooked we ordered a battered sausage
Had our food half an hour later Than when the collection time was there were a handful of chips in each tray and the sausage was just inedible it was like a battered sausage that had been refried from the day before hard as rocks burnt thing what was the 50p service charge for
Complained to online operative and was offered £15 off code for next order however do not plan on ordering again so waste of time and money

After long day in work decided to buy chips on my way home. Very poor quality tasted yuck went straight in the bin. Unable to upload a picture otherwise, I would have.

Concept: I decided last moment (since I finished work at 16:50) to join the Maundy Thursday gathering at St Stephen's for dinner (which was 18:30-20:00). Thus, I visited the nearest fish and chip shop for a takeaway food.Timing of visit: Thursday 28/03/2024, 18:15.Order: A cod and a small portion of chips.Price: £8.90.Method of payment: Debit card.Quality of chips: Top (7*).Quality of fish: Comically bad (1*). It should be noted that the fish was so bad (compared to Hortons coffee house and Wetherspoons where I usually eat this food), where during the meal I couldn't stop laughing while eating and my friends took me some photos for Facebook. Finally, I managed to eat a 20% of fish and the rest of it was thrown in the rubbish bin.Behaviour of staff: Helpful (5*).

We had our sons birthday party and called for amounts needed. They were so helpful. The food came on time so hot and fresh. Best chippy around. Thank you so much for making my sons party even better.

Grabbed some lunch chicken kebab and chips. The kebab meat was delish ?? and I prefer proper chip shop chips and not the usual takeaway ones ????

Started a new job round the corner about 4/5 months ago and have gone to chip stop everyday since. Great food, great prices and the owner is incredibly nice. Would recommend.

The food is always great this is the 2nd time I?ve ordered it and it is very lovely now I?m going every week to get some of their chips absolutely delicious especially all the owners.
