Dog friendly, good beer and garden

My Wife and I ate here after passing by a few times, the exterior looked wonderful and so we thought we'd try it out. The staff were welcoming and friendly and we ordered drinks and then ate. My Wife had the chilli dish and I had the gammon. Both were lovely meals. Interior of the pub was lovely and cosy and the rear boasted a lovely beer garden. A very nice establishment! Thank you!

My wife, our chocolate Labrador, and me, had two lovely meals at the Castle Inn in Newport Pembs. Definitely the best meal we had whilst on holiday. I recommend the gammon, probably the best I?ve had. Friendly accommodating staff and very dog friendly.

Restaurant was absolutely fantastic, one of the best restaurants I have ever been to in terms of catering for my coeliac disease! There were so many options and staff seemed very knowledgeable.

The Castle Inn serves the most delicious ? meals and is in a prime location close to Newport town.
We stayed at The Castle Inn overnight and I highly recommend it. There was great attention to detail, like the provision of towels, a very handy guide, a coffee machine, hand wash & shower gel, kettle and to my delight a hairdryer with DIFFUSER, (as I have naturally curly hair) & excellent WiFi.
The food is delicious & exquisite. We always attend the Regatta celebrations and they really push the boat out. The breakfasts are the stuff of legends.
The staff are punctual, professional & very kind.

Brilliant pub, staff were really great with my peanut allergy guaranteeing a peanut free kitchen. They also offered plenty of vegan options for my partner. Food was delicious and the beer garden was gorgeous. Would 100% come back here.

We didn't stay or eat here. Just had a few beers over a couple of days. They have 2 hand-pumped ales including Butty Bach. You're unlikely to find a better kept and served pint of beer anywhere. Absolutely superb! Such a pity that many innkeepers can't be bothered to take the same time and trouble the landlord here does to serve the perfect pint.

Friendly staff, good choice of beers. Beer Garden also good and dog friendly, could do with some outside background music for the times it is quiet for atmosphere. Gents toilet would be far better if it had a lock that wasn't broken in the sit down cubicle.

We stayed overnight here in early September. It's a wonderful place to stay. We had a beautiful, spacious room with a really comfortable bed. There is a great selection of well kept beers in the bar, which has a lovely atmosphere. We didn't have dinner in the hotel, but the breakfast was excellent. All who work there are very welcoming and helpful. Our car broke down while we were there and our hosts could not have been more accommodating. There was a long wait before the RAC could get to us and we were able to stay in our room at no extra cost unril help arrived. Newport itself is a charming place - it must be one of the most unspoilt coastal villages in Wales. We can't wait to return.

What a wonderful experience. We stayed here for one night 10th August and were totally taken aback at the standards. Rooms were absolutely beautiful and cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast was superb using local produce. The Full Castle breakfast is an amazing experience...superb. I have no negative comments to make. This hotel is a jewel in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside. Staff were amazing. Nothing too much for them. Going to book a long weekend there before the end of the summer. Diolch yn fawr.
