Lovely fish and chip shop. Everything you'd expect on the menu with some great sides like halloumi etc. As a family of 4 we had a takeaway to eat on the beach although there is a decent sized indoor seating area available. Our food was made fresh, in good time and well packaged. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Well worth a visit.

Pleasant staff and fish was cooked to order, however extremely overpriced ... I thought the haddock (priced at over £8) was the small cod when I saw it placed in the take away bag, until I watched them pick up a piece of cod not much bigger than a cod bite at other establishments !! ... over £6 for literally a few bites of fish - im afraid we will try elsewhere in future.

Positives. Pleasant staff, clean, nice batter, good chips.
Negatives. I've never had such a small piece of cod. It was smaller than a child's portion, and less than half the size of the large (this was a small). Wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't so overcooked. It was so thin than the fish was very dry and overcooked, couldn't taste it. Parts of the large piece on the other hand was cooked the right amount and quite tasty. We ended up sharing the large as small was inedible, and more expensive than further down the road which was twice the size and much nicer yesterday.

Food Good excellent, but how do you justify a takeout price if £2.20 for a jumbo sausage, to eat in £7.45?!!!! Over a fiver extra to eat in! Absolute rip off. Eat in prices a total rip off. Scandalous imo

We hadn?t been since the new owners took over - HUGELY improved! We only had ice creams but they were very reasonably priced and very tasty. Really friendly service too, will be our go to for ice creams in New Quay now!

We had chips, hot chocolate and Americano coffee. The service was great and staff were friendly.
The Americano was better than Costa and Starbucks.

This is now the best chippy in New Quay. Since Mathew took over there has been a very high quality of food which is consistently good and the prices are lower. Mathew has been open all winter serving the local community which means a lot. Everything is immaculately clean and the food is excellent. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Crispy batter and perfect chips.
Child and dog friendly.
