We read a warm welcoming and that?s exactly what we got with great food, great value for money and a proper traditional pub atmosphere.
I?d recommend booking as this place gets busy even mid week.

We have just had a truly fantastic meal here tonight. It was a bit last minute so we were very lucky to get a table as so many people had to be turned away after we arrived. It's no wonder it's popular, The food is exceptional and very reasonably priced. Attentive and lovely staff. Will not hesitate to return. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Jayke, Budgie and Pete were super friendly and helpful when our motorcycle broke down just up the road from their lovely pub. Whilst waiting for recovery we eat there and I really enjoyed my beef madras curry. Most welcome at a time of stress. I only wish we had dined there in better circumstances, but we can always come back (and we will).

This is a very welcoming establishment to visit. It?s an old style pub rather than a contemporary one, and well worth a visit in my opinion. There is a small carpark to the side and across the lane, plus parking for about 4 or 5 cars in the lane. There is a restaurant as well as a bar area, and apart from the restaurant, is dog friendly. The food is home cooked and excellent. Come hungry, because the portions would satisfy the biggest appetite and is very reasonably priced. The Sunday roast is worth the visit alone.

Although we hadn't booked to dine, the guy working in the bar was very pleasant, and made us feel really welcome and managed to accommodate us.
Our drinks where brought to our table, and after ordering our food arrived really quickly.
Very large portions, and great value for money.

Both myself, my partner and our two border collies visited this pub during our holiday and we have to say we absolutely loved this pub. The food was delicious, the service was great and very friendly and I loved that the chef brought the food out to the table. A nice little touch. We would definitely go back during our next holiday.
