We stayed at the caravan park just round the corner and spent a Sunday afternoon here. Friendly staff, decent beer and the Sunday lunches looked fantastic and I wished we?d have booked in for one. I believe you?ve just taken over this place, don?t change a thing, we loved it being a ?proper? pub!

Pub a bit outside New Quay on road into village
We last visited in about 1989 and i don?t think it?s changed since Maybe in a good way
Can be a good option for food if new Quay is busy as it?s normally a bit quieter
Was a bit disappointed with food as people recommended it to us but was standard pub grub

Four of us went here tonight and the food was awful , we waited nearly an hour for our starters and they tasted terrible. The prawn cocktail , well the prawns were like rubber !! and the garlic mushrooms were like rock ..
We waited nearly 2 hours for all our meals which were very disappointing .
The lasagne was tasteless , all you could taste was tomorrow purée .
We all left most of our meals , we not be coming back again !!

Lovely little out of the way pub, came to quay West haven for a holiday and ended up at this establishment. Staff were very friendly and accompanying. Great food and well sized portions. Great to have a car park just around the back that connected to a play area and another entrance to the pub, would highly recommend.

Phoned our booking and they wrote down the wrong day, waitress asked what sauces we wanted and forgot to bring them until we reminded her, the cod batter had half a dozen hairs in it.
They did take the cost of the fish and chips off the bill

A very cosy pub, very quite for a Friday afternoon. We were made to feel very welcomed by the bar girl and everyone. I would recommend a visit when in the area. Even for a quick drink and very basic pub grub.
The place appears to be nicely renovated.

Real good local boozer, food is really worth the money and tastes great with a good portion size, Bar staff really friendly and the owner is very welcoming and a good quiz master. Would recommend.

This is a proper pub, a good reason to go out. The food is simple and excellent just as I ordered. The beer was proper quality, all we wanted after a very tough day. Then the entertainment came on, the gent sang all my favourite songs so well that I thought the first two songs were the original recordings, ears are getting old, but it was very good. I predict that man will will go far. A great pub with great staff and dog friendly.
