Although COVID affected most surgeries in Britain, and certainly access to Castle Surgery has become very strained with cut-offs each day still in place, it has got better recently. They do try hard to accomodate patients. The Pharmacy is very good, with waiting times just minutes or hours instead of days as currently you'll find at Boots.

Receptionist rude, couldn't care less attitude, can wait to get you off the phone.Since COVID, they've taken it to extreme with poor excuses, for no help whatsoever, and talking to people as if they are dense.

The triage system is ineffective (you have to ring repeatedly at 8am and the the GP may or may not ring you back hours later, with the call i received lasting a grand total of 120 seconds), you?re often given appointments with an inappropriate practitioner eg a nurse practitioner for complaints re the head and brain (not appropriate), Dr Lemon is rude, abrupt, dismissive. He absolutely should not be working in Primary Care if he cannot even muster basic bedside manner. The nurse practitioners and reception staff are trying their best but the surgery is understaffed and the processes are ineffective and low quality. I would also suggest there are safety concerns with the inappropriate triage and referrals. My personal experience has been shockingly poor and my patient satisfaction is nil. The partners really need to sit down and listen to all the negative feedback rather than just shrugging it off and blaming being underfunded. There are always improvements you can make and these often cost nothing e.g. compassion when speaking to patients (that ones for you, Dr Lemon).

It is the worst surgery ever stuff is so rude you have to begging them for doctors appointments. They send me letter last week saying if you want to visit the habitation people, you have to pay private. Disgusting.

Terrible standard. Always losing prescriptions, can?t get through on the phone and can?t even arrange for the prescriptions to be sent to the pharmacy which is about 5 seconds walk away (indoors). Add to that, when you wait for a prescription you have to wait outside in the cold and rain!! Luckily i don?t come here but pickup for old relatives. Otherwise I would never set foot in their again. And the worst part ? they are advertising for more patients!!! They can?t cope with the ones they have got.

The doctor phoned me back to make an appointment with him for the next day. When I got there to see him he had a days leave! Surely he must have known he wouldn't be there. The receptionist gave me a different appointment and said I really should phone for another appointment. But I turned up at the time I was given by the doctor. I was made to feel that I was in the wrong.

Just to say thank you to the team at Castle Surgery, especially at reception and the pharmacy. Both, especially the pharmacy are always busy?..in my experience I have always found the teams friendly, helpful, patient and without doubt doing the very best they can.Thank you???

Unable to upload a photo of repeat script form. When entering multiple items on system when you put in multiple items it won't allow you to add just two, although more than four items it requires you to do two entries. Needs some adjustment
