Impeccable stay. We stayed for two nights with our little sausage dog and can?t fault it from start to finish!
Beautifully maintained grounds, staff were attentive and helpful, half of the main house is dog friendly so we were able to bring him to breakfast and to our artisan meal. We also did the 5 course with pairings in the Fernery (dog had to stay in the room understandably) but meal was amazing.
A special few days

What a beautiful hotel in an equally beautiful and relaxing setting. It was a really special treat staying at this hotel and the kind and attentive staff really made the difference too. I looked forward to the breakfast - the food and coffee were delicious. Lots to explore around but also irreplaceable place to simply relax.

Romantic high end venue. The food was exceptional but pricey. Staff and service was exemplary. Highly recommended if you have plenty of money!

One of our favorite hotels. Great large cottages with a lot of privacy. Beautiful location with nature walks and garden growing food for the restaurant. The food and afternoon tea was also great, and the staff attentive and professional.

We have enjoyed the most fabulous 5 days at the Grove. Everything was exceptional but what has made our time here so special is the exceptional staff. They have gone above and beyond to look after us.
In particular we?d like to thank, Luke, Alex, Andreas, Seran, Sara and Cathryn who made our stay very special.
Go for the food and the lovely accommodation, stay for the staff who make you feel like family.

We went to the Fernery during our stay and we had high hopes.
We were not disappointed, the food was exceptional while also challenging our pallets to new flavours. The standout dish for us was the Wye Valley a fabulous fish dish.
What made this experience so special was the Groves Sommelier Cathryn Bell. She took us on a journey of exploration with the wine and non alcoholic flights. We discovered new tastes and learnt about wine growers and tasting notes from around the world. Many of which we will be revisiting.
I?ve been lucky enough to travel around the world dining in some exceptional places and Cathryn was able to bring our dining experience to new heights.
If you get the opportunity to eat here don?t miss out.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at The Grove. We initially only planned to stay for one night but ended up coming back for a second. That's testament to the staff and hotel in general.
We stayed in two rooms, the deluxe double Derwen (a complimentary upgrade as a gift for my husband's birthday) and then the classic double Templar. Both rooms were excellent! Both had large complimentary mini bar offerings, a lovely bathroom with freestanding baths and the best beds/mattresses we have slept on!
I was particularly touched by my individual vegetarian menu at dinner and also at breakfast. Again its little things like this that make the world of difference! We both enjoyed our meals at the Artisan Rooms restaurant. The young man with glasses (I think his name was Luke) was wonderful. My husband is still thinking about the pie!
Breakfast is served a-la-carte but you can have as much or as little as you would like. The vegetarian Glamorgan sausages were delicious - I wish more places had these!
The hotel and grounds had lots of little areas where you can relax including two lovely lounges and an outdoor terrace. The outside seating by their little lake was perfect for an afternoon cup of tea (and then a gin and tonic)!
Thanks to everyone at The Grove for a wonderful stay and we are already looking to see when we can visit again.

Lovely food, great service with attention to detail which is hard to find in many places these days. Awesome choice of wines.. French in particular. Great cosy snugs with real fires ?... doesn't matter how hot it is outside you can always sit in front of a real fire .. many thanks all wexll be back again soon.

One of the best hotels we ever stayed at. Tastefully decorated, with an impeccable service (attention to every detail to maximize your experience and comfort), and includes a delicious michelin deserving restaurant. It passed with flying colours the bed, shower, and wifi test. Breakfast was rich and tasty, and the hotel is also close to a lot of beautiful spots. We are certainly returning and bringing the whole family next time.
