The pilar of the community.
At day time you?ll find groups of the older generation sitting around chatting, either with the refillable coffees or with a post-work pint.
The food menu is enormous and is on the high-end of the Weatherspoon?s quality scale.
They have every beer or ale known to man and the prices would?ve been considered reasonable, even back in the 00?s.
Finally, the atmosphere and decor is magnificent, with wooden beams, a working and real fire in winter time and a great monkey tree (locals know).
Oh and it?s a winner of the Loo of the Year award! Genius. ?

Good and cheap real ale. The Abbot was off today but the doombar was a good substitute. 3 pints and a portion of scampi. Really enjoyed and never a problem in this local pub

Fast lunch service, hot food, all 3 meals served together and all items were as ordered. Pretty busy for a weekday, but it is school holidays

Always love a wetherspoons. Food was good and quick. Parking can be tricky as not many spaces.

We are very disappointed that our favourite meal has been taken off the menu. We always went there for the gorgeous steaks they cook. The only thing I will go there for now is breakfast and maybe a fish and chips. VERY disappointed.

Had a chicken & maple cured bacon , Mediterranean salad, couldn't eat it, tasted strong of oregano / herbs, not a pleasant taste, other half had the gourmet burger which was nice.

unfortunately the food quality has clearly dropped in the last year or two. now decidedly average. still a decent enough pub with good beer selection
