Managed to get a table at short notice while in the area on holiday after seeing the amazing reviews it had & reading about how far in advance they get booked up. Worth every bit of credit given to them by the reviews. Food was outstanding! One of the best burgers I've ever had (& I order them whenever they're on a menu!) Waitress was very friendly & attentive. Lovely setting & big portion sizes. Also very reasonably priced for the size of portions & quality of food. Well worth a visit!

Absolute gem of a find! Tucked away in the farm side is this glorious eatery ? been here twice now and will definitely be going back. Food is always bang on, full of flavour, full of meat and you leave feeling full ?

OK, if you managed to book a table in advance, starve for 2 days before. The portions are huge ?. Also the burger was almost as I like it, pink. A delightful place to go and unusual as it is in a middle of a working farm.

I have put this star up only to open the app up i would not of given it that one star.went to the pig & apple on the 25/ 07/ 25 for food and we're do i start my food was awful the bugger was not cooked was very very pink inside was nearly sick, I took it back to get it changed and all they done was take the bugger off the roll and put it back on the grill with all the mayo and cheese still on it, brought it back to me and it still was not cook just could not eat it just disgusting, and to make thing worse my partner payed for it i was not aware of this until we was on are was home other than that I would of refused to of payed for it so I would not recommend this place, and just to top it off the barn we was full of wasps all around the tables it was like being at Wimbledon hitting them off.?

Incredible food - one of those menus where eyes are bigger than stomach, and you order more than you need! So tasty and fresh. Can see why they become booked so quickly. Staff super friendly and attentive.

Great place we've been wanting to visit for some time. Due to the popularity it is often fully booked. Went to our son's birthday on a sat lunchtime. Very nice selection of burgers and side dishes. Watch for the generous portions as you may well order more than you can eat. Lovely location in the hills above the river Wye. Staff we're very friendly and helpful. Location allows dogs which permitted us to bring ours.

We had really been looking forward to visiting having lived in the area many years ago, but our lunch was a huge disappointment. The anticipation was probably all the greater as it is bizarrely difficult to actually secure a reservation!
Service was perfunctory - no warm welcome or eye contact. The buns were bland, the meat burgers were just about okay (no pork offerings though which seems odd!), but the vegetarian burger was like something from the 1970s. A Beyond Meat burger with a supermarket-syle hash brown squashed on top. The coleslaw was a gloopy mess. Since Kate Humble has produced at least one cookery book, I feel the standards of food on her farm should be higher. The outside loo could have done with a good clean and was pretty basic.
Other reviews seem to be mainly positive, so maybe it was just a bad day. Maybe! We won't be going back.

We have ate in a few times but regularly get a takeaway. Everything is always spot on and the service is perfect Thankyou Jess and Jake.
I work abroad and this is on my top 3 for things I look forward too about coming home.
I have had lots of different burgers and fries from here. But the favourite is the Best of Both Burger (Chicken and Beef) mixed with the cheeseburger fries.
We will all be ordering again soon!

Genuinely stunning food, huge portions and reasonable prices. So much food, we took the leftovers home and had them for lunch the next day! Will certainly be back again

Ordered in advance collected on time and the Beast Brisket burger was delicious and the parmesan and truffle fries were crisp and tangy, very full and VFM I would do it again. Shame we were on holiday.
