Wow. Such a local gem. House hunting we popped in for a coffee and were warmly welcomed by the owners. We could resist the menu and enjoyed a fabulous lunch and drinks. Can't wait to come back. ??

Decided to try out a local pub we had not tried yet. Was delighted with the service, friendly staff and very tasty food. Really rather excellent. Our dog was given 5 star treatment and was at home with the Pub pooch. A lovely experience, The Bush will be returned to soon. Thank you.

Our first visit to the Bush Inn (will become our local when we move in) - fabulous food - one of the best Sunday lunches we have had ... Yorkshire puds were amazing! Great service from Hollie and Emily - thank you. Very dog friendly! Looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful location and lovely pub in Penallt. Called by after a long walk in the Wye Valley. The owner was extremely accommodating. Thank you so much! Will be returning for dinner soon

Don't often leave reviews but really enjoyed my meal here a few weeks back. Despite being slightly short of staff we were fed and looked after quickly and effectively. Would recommend

Had Sunday lunch here on 25/6/23. Could not fault it. Good choice of traditional roasts, fish and vegetarian mains. Both our roasts, lamb and beef, where served with plenty of meat, huge Yorkshire pudding and roast vegetables. These were accompanied by a selection of seven different vegetables including cauliflower cheese and spinach mornay. Service was outstanding by staff who were polite and friendly. Will definitely return.

Went out for my Mum?s birthday. My Dad?s rib eye was tough and inedible. However when he said this he was told he was wrong and the owner continued to argue with him when he was trying to put his very valid point forward. He was terribly upset and it ruined the whole evening. In addition the service was dreadful and we were made to feel like an inconvenience. Asked for a jug of water at least 4 times, had to send dirty glasses back, witnessed the waiter transfer desserts with his fingers as he couldn?t use the tongs, just to name a few issues. I would NOT recommend this place and we will not be returning.

After a lovely dog walk from the river we stumbled across this little gem of a pub.Had a real warm feel, old country pub feel, the food was amazing. Lovely peopleWill remember this place for a long time.

Stopped off here for a huge cup of tea and absolutely delicious cake midway on our walk in the surrounding area . Hubby had a delicious portion of millionaires shortbread, and I had the most amazing piece of warm chocolate fudge cake with cream . The landlady was slso really lovely and friendly. I'm looking forward to going back again .

The best Sunday lunch I've eaten out for a time ! We were lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked ( I would advise booking) . I am gluten free and was so excited to get a great Roast beef lunch with Yorkshire pudding!!! and gravy ( these things are often missing in other places if you are gf) A lovely selection of vegetables including roasted butternut ,beetroot, parsnips and potatoes, with green beans,broccoli and carrots ,along with cauliflower cheese and spinach mornay ( these 2 are not gf) . The meat choices and vegetables changed weekly.This was all prepared,cooked and served by people that care and know what they are doing!

It seemed a little understaffed when we visited, but we were advised that there would be a wait. The food was good and worth the wait. Good choices of drinks. Pleasant service.

Awesome country pub with an impressive vegan menu. Owners were super friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I was pleasantly surprised to have such extensive vegan options somewhere so rural - they even did tofish and chips
