Thank you Salt & Pepper! I had a delicious gluten free scone with jam & cream today. I was so excited to learn that they now have plain, fruit & cheese scones on the menu. I also had a cheese scone to take away and that was amazing. All baked by themselves ?????? staff are lovely and friendly.

Enjoyable brunch at this place, value for money compared to other establishments in this town. Staff accommodating and pleasant.

Beautiful food and friendly staff. Dogs know when people are genuine and our ?stand-offish? Shiba Inu was happy (much to our amazement) to accept a fuss and a doggy treat from the lovely lady who took our order. Would highly recommend. We sat outside on the pavement tables but dogs are also welcome on the enclosed first floor patio?

The Salt & Pepper coffee shop is very nice and the quality of the breakfast items was excellent, however, when you order a Full English you expect beans to be a standard part of it. At £11 I do not expect to be charged another £1 for a small pot of beans, on principle I did not have them. Further down the High St there is another coffee shop that is a little cheaper and you get everything you expect so not sure why they do this. Overall it is a great little coffee shop though

Visited Monmouth during a recent stay in the Forest of Dean and having seen food reviews of this place on Trip Advisor, was keen to visit myself. If did not disappoint ! We sat outside on the street, people watching one of my favourite past times. I had the house special, the Rueben whilst my wife had a jacket potato. Both absolutely excellent !!! The coleslaw with the Reuben was phenomenal it has to be said and arguably the creamiest coleslaw I?ve had. My only complaint, there was not enough of it LOL. Food, service and drinks where are excellent and ££ on the price scale making for great value for money. Highly recommended 9/10. Missed out on the perfect 10 as I wanted more coleslaw !

We ordered lunch. When the poached eggs on toast arrived one was hard boiled. When we asked for another the response was ? oh did you want them runny?? However no problem in replacing but how can the chef think it?s okay to send out 1 hard poached egg and one soft?!! One piece of bacon £3. The Reuben sandwich was inedible. So disappointing as this is a favourite place of ours but not any more
