I went there on the 15th of March 2023 to withdrawl money and met an Incredibly rude and xenophobic lady working there named Gill. Second she heard I was foreign she treated me with disgust. Refused to help me when their cash machine tried to eat my card and my money. I was met with "Deal with it" and "You wont get your card or money back" . The other lady working with her was lovley. I solved it myself and went to the halifax across the road, works perfectly everytime. Wouldnt recommend Lloyds Bank in Monmouth to any foreigners or tourists.

popped into this branch whilst on holiday in the area. Very stern looking lady served me.. a smile and pleasant exchange would of been nice. Shocking attitude

"WARNING" your hand written cheques may get destroyed using the in-branch automated paying in machine. When handwritten cheques are paid into the machine it struggles with the different styles of handwriting, although it excepts and gives you a photocopy receipt, if I cant read your perfectly legible to humans cheque, it will destroy it - it does not matter if its £10 or £1000, you lose your money, I'm talking from experience so BEWARE!

Mixed experience. Went through quite a bit of trouble as a non-UK citizen to open an account. But, apparently, it is always difficult to open a bank account in the UK after moving in. After going tgere three times, they still couldn't open an account for me. Fortunately, there is a very patient and understanding lady, who carefully listened to all my complaints and tried to help as best she could. Glad to finally have an account here. Depending on who you are served by the experience may be different.

Very rude service this afternoon, one desk open and the lady who dealt with me was abrupt, unhelpful and made me feel unwelcome as a customer. This was about 1.30 pm today. Made me very glad my local branch is Abergavenny where the service is always excellent. If Monmouth was my branch I'd be banking elsewhere. Why be rude? No need.

Went this branch today. It's the fourth time I have been there in recent months every time the red headed lady is rude and abrupt. I pay my rent by cash every month into my landlords account. I have tried the automated machines they never work. She refuses to take my money. Again today she told me to use the machine I explained politely that I had problems in the past and last time even an assistant tried but could not do it and then she made me wait at the back of the line even though her assistant gave her the cash and asked her to do it as I had been waiting a while as we could not get the machine to work. I will never go there again. Your member of staff needs a lesson in customer service. Chepstow branch is so much better polite and helpful.
