Best food for miles

What's happening at this cafe. Used to be great before the outside area was built. Clearly too busy for those working and the owner who, quite frankly is rude. Food burnt, and in my opinion overpriced . £3.50 for a J2O?? What business only accept cash these days. Wonder why. Across the road is wetherspoons which is much better. Just don't get why this place is rated so highly, hardly great ingredients used. Avoid

Four of us had some breakfast in Mels today and it was great , poached eggs were perfect and the full breakfast was very tasty .
The service was fast , efficient and friendly so a big thumbs ? up to Mels

I really enjoyed my breakfast at Mel?s cafe. Staff were so kind and helpful and customer service was excellent. I ordered the ?Set 2? from the menu and I was able to have it changed to suit my preferences. I highly recommend Mel?s cafe to everyone who wish to enjoy delicious food and great service.

The food was excellent, and they have the best customer service. The workers are incredibly lovely, and it felt very homey and like a very warm environment.

Such a lovely little cafe with plenty of options and fantastic service. Really reasonably priced and we all cleared our plates and were set up for the day. If I?m ever in the area I would definitely return and would highly recommend to others. Just to note they are cash only but there?s an ATM 2 minutes up the street.

I couldn't recommend Mel's Cafe enough! We were filming a popular daytime TV show in the area and we ordered a large take away order for 15 people. The food & service we had couldn't have been better. Highly recommend. Thank you again from all of us! Greg

Great full English? If you?re ever in Mold and in desperate need of a proper breakfast to cure the night before, Mel?s Cafe is the place to be. Just around the corner from Polly?s Social, this friendly local spot serves up an incredible full English breakfast that hits the mark every time.
The plate was absolutely loaded ? crispy hash browns, sizzling sausages, hearty slices of bacon, perfectly fried eggs, baked beans, and thick, golden toast. But the real highlight? The double helping of black pudding ? rich, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. It?s easily one of the best I?ve had and alone is worth a visit.
The service at Mel?s Cafe was warm and welcoming, the coffee strong, and the setting relaxed ? exactly what you need whether you?re fuelling up for the day or nursing a heavy head after a night at Polly?s Social. It?s obvious the locals love it too; there?s a steady buzz of people coming through, and the staff genuinely seem to care about making sure you leave satisfied.
If you?re in the Mold area, Mel?s Cafe should absolutely be on your list. Whether you?re after a top-quality breakfast, a friendly atmosphere, or simply a reliable place to recharge, you?ll find it here.

The ladies are always very friendly & nothing is too much trouble. We have breakfast there on a semi regular basis & if we don't want a particular item we can swap for different one. The hot chocolate special is amazing (almost a meal in itself) ?

Our favourite breakfast place! Good value for money, loads of options that you can change and not get charged extra. Never disappointed and it's always my go to for a catch up and a decent breakfast good variety of hot and cold drinks.
The ladies are lovely and friendly too!

Loved it!! The food was piping hot, crispy hash browns, great portion sizes, lovely staff. Highly recommend a visit for a good old greasy spoon breakfast!
