This is nothing against the people working in merthyr rspca but i had to mention that they've stopped the vet clinic and pdsa have nothing in area (ive treid ringing both and had no answer, pdsa did reply to email but its not good news.) so unfortunately poor people in the area are struggling with vet bills. Ive looked everywhere for help and i couldn't find anything. Im disabled and struggling with bills i had to take cat to a vet miles away and pay full price with no help. We are being hit from every angle from energy, food and now even our pets. How will this help animals we should be getting more help not less. Im sure theres a reason for this and rspca im sure would help if they could because they obviously like animals and its probably out of their hands. However im leaving this review to vent my issues hoping that someone will see this and bring back the vet clinic. Ive had good experiences with this vet clinic in the past and i hope it returns.

Not sure if greed and capitalism or influx of Islam is to blame, but Christ almighty these creatures prioritise cash over the health of their own grandmothers let alone your pet.

Completely useless. At least when it comes to the stray cats situation in my neighborhood. No one answers the number provided. Is this place even still open? Had to call friends of animals Wales. Who also, took my name and number and never called back. Needless to say there is yet another pregnant kitten roaming the gardens around here. It's so sad to see.

This place is no longer open there is no help for injured pets in the Aberdare area no wonder so many animals are being dumped people cant afford a vets bill with everything going up in price due to the cost of living

This was my GP vets for years but they closed to the public recently. I can not contact them for my pets prescriptions which they need to live. They said they have sent out letters informing people of this closure but I have had no such letter. I have tried other vets in further away places but they are not taking on any more patients. This closure is totally irresponsible and unprofessional. I would buy thier medication online but can not as they need a vet prescription form which I can't get because they won't respond to email or phone call and are closed. I can't get this vet prescription because of the closure. Terrible.

The RSPCA practice at Merthyr is off the chart good. The vets, and staff are very professional, and i believe they genuinely have the animals interest at heart.I'm truly saddened that from the 9th December 2022, the practice's doors will no longer be open to the general public.Ruby, and i,will have a tough time finding a surgery as good as this one.

Didn't really want to help.us when we picked up an injured Swift on a bike ride during our caravan holiday. Suggested we leave it where it was.. with a local cat watching it. We ended up cycling 5 miles each way to a vet. Not really ideal as a couple in our late 60's!
