Brilliant customer service. Placed an order to be delivered to this store but it was mistakenly sent to Scotland ?Store rang the Scotland store and asked them return it and to action a refund. This did not happen. Just been in to local store today and they have sorted it all for me quickly and easily. Thanks to the great staff there for your help.

Shocking customer service as usual from the River Island Merthyr store, purchased jeans 3 months ago and already they have holes in several places and tears around the pocket areas. Spoke with customer services via live chat and sent photos who then advised us to return them in store as they would accept returns within 6 months if faulty. Nicola the manager was really rude and unhelpful, had no intention of helping us with the issue from the start and refused to accept the return despite a £60 pair of jeans being unwearable after 3 months, claiming ?wear and tear?. Wasted journey and definitely won?t be returning, RI quality along with customer service has dropped massively. Avoid this store and RI in general

Easy access store. There is always lots of parking. I'm not a massive fan of t-shirts at River Island, I find that after being washed once, they never fit the same again. However the jeans are pretty good quality and are a good fit. I've had a few pairs of boots over the years, and they have been good quality too.

Good as can be its not huge but big enough with a large ladies section downstairs and a medium mens section upstairs. A good selection for mens but best check online if your after something specific. I usually grab a shirt, t shirt or some shorts. Many retailers near by as well so it's not a bad idea just for a look and see what's on display sometimes sizes and colours are kept off shelf so don't be afraid to ask the staff are very helpful.Plenty of parking at the retailers parl
