Visited this store on Tues. 4/2/25, wanted to try on a pair of trousers, but the men's changing room upstairs was closed (it's been full of stock for Months!)... Asked at the counter downstairs why the changing room downstairs was also cordoned off, to be told by both a male & female staff member at 18.45pm that the store was closing in 15mins time (7pm) yet it wouldn't have taken me much more than 5 minutes to try them on, it seems like too much trouble to them, they're only interested in the end of their shift approaching rather than selling any items to the customers who keep them in a Job!
Customer Service is obviously not a priority to these people, They have lost H & M a sale here, I had to leave the 2 pairs there as I live a good 10 miles away from the Merthyr store and shouldn't have had to return to the store the following day if the item didn't fit (Which I would have tried on if they'd allowed me to, there was still 15mins to go) therefore saving a return visit....
I am very disappointed here and have commented on H & M's Customer Service section of their UK. Website.

I like shopping in H&M but on this occasion I visited to return an item of clothing that did not fit my son. Nothing wrong with the item. The returns process was quick and easy and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Couldn't shop as hubby was waiting outside! ?

Went with partner to get clothes for the grandkids,firstly, NO baskets to put stuff in,then no organised sizing of clothes,so we rummaged through items like at a jumble sale. When we found items I was loaded like a clothes airer. After what seemed an eternity we waited at the only staffed till to pay,as I refuse to do my own shop work. On asking why no baskets we were told to bring our own bags into shop! That seems to be an invitation to shop lift if ever I've heard one. H&M horrible and miserable "customer"experience.will DEFINITELY NOT be returning.

Staff on the whole friendly well the female members are. But the male staff on duty when we called incredibly ignorant.

Really it's a place for the younger generation, so they are well catered for, good prices, stylish.

Really good store, very big with loads of stock. The reduced rails are really great value. The staff were also very friendly. I especially liked the fact they had sizes upto 22 not like some stores where they only stock smaller sizes. Will be shopping here again.
