“Took up running in May and as I’ve progressed I’ve visited the Merthyr store for shirts, socks etc - the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable enough to answer all my questions regarding the right kit to buy to fit with my needs and my fairly modest budget. Thanks to you all.
Also - I don’t know if it’s a deliberate policy but the annoying music that was always far too loud has been toned down considerably since I visited a few years ago ????”

“Customer service at its finest! I visited your Merthyr Tydfil store on Friday 29th August, the queue for tills was quite long so I braved the self serve tills, I am not a fan of these but thought I’d give them a go. I encountered some issues with the machine and security tags and this wonderful young girl came over and helped me, she was so friendly, didn’t make me feel silly and chatted to me, she gave me her time which is so rare these days as everyone is in a rush! She gave me some tips on what to do next time and scanned them for me and packed the bag for me. She was absolutely wonderful. She told me she was new, I have to say she is a credit to your company, so polite and friendly. I saw on her name badge she was called Grace, please pass on my thanks. Very happy shopping experience.”

“Took my daughter for her first bra fitting. Brilliant service. Maria, the lady who was carrying out the fitting, was understanding, explained everything clearly and made sure my daughter was comfortable with the whole process. We came away with the right fit and selection of underwear that my daughter was very happy with. I would certainly recommend.”

“A lovely retail park, plenty of shops to look in. Parking is usually not a problem, though I avoid very busy times like bank holidays, etc. myself. Good access for wheelchair users. One thing to keep in mind is there's only public toilets down by the Costas Coffee bar.”

“I placed an order to this store, but after waiting a couple of days I decided to call the store. I spoke to a girl called abbie who was so rude, and told me basically my order haven't been sent yet. I called back and spoke to a girl called Sarah, who was just as rude as abbie. Sarah told me I was shouting at abbie, even through Sarah did not hear the conversation on the phone. Abbie clearly knew she was rude to me on the phone and went to cover her tracks telling Sarah a pack of lies. This time of year we are all busy and stressed, but you do not take it out on customers. I will not be spending another penny with this company, and will make sure you lose more then just me as customer, disgraceful”

“Just heard my branch is closing, with the exception of 1 time (A manager who was a very rude person) I have always had excellent service. The staff throughout the years have all been friendly, chatty and more importantly helpful. Good luck to them all”

“Brilliant customer service. Placed an order to be delivered to this store but it was mistakenly sent to Scotland ?Store rang the Scotland store and asked them return it and to action a refund. This did not happen. Just been in to local store today and they have sorted it all for me quickly and easily. Thanks to the great staff there for your help.”

“We are so quick to comment on bad service so I'd like to tip the balance a little by commending the wonderful young Ben who served me on Wednesday of this week in the children's department of the MerthyrTydfil store. He was so polite it actually stopped me in my tracks!!! What an absolute gentleman. He was so helpful, and not just to me as i witnessed his interaction with 2 other customers too. He insisted on going to get me a basket when he could see my hands were full. Then, when i couldn't find girls pj's, he actually phoned his manager to enquire for me, only to be told they had taken them off the shop floor to make way for swimwear. While I was at the check out, he suggested I may get what i couldn't find, on line. Also, his chat while I was paying for my goods, was cheerful, polite, and more importantly, not rehearsed.
I was that impressed that, on the way out, I asked another member of staff if I could speak to the manager so I could voice my praise for Ben.
The experience stayed with me all day. We should all be more BEN. ??”

“Generally I do like the shop it's handy for your bits and bobs but lately I've seen a few piles of dog mess by the corner. I know people walk their dogs through the park but surely you can work something out with Matalan to arrange for your staff to pick it up since it's a shared corner. There's a bin right next to it after all and I think it'd look nicer for the front of your shops. But without that minor thing I do believe it's a nice shop and convenient for click and collect orders. Excellent job on the redecoration.”

“The staff at the Co op branch of Peacocks, are helpful, friendly and nothing is to much bother for them. I love shopping there for those reasons, and clearly the products are very good, and reasonably priced.”

“I like shopping in H&M but on this occasion I visited to return an item of clothing that did not fit my son. Nothing wrong with the item. The returns process was quick and easy and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Couldn't shop as hubby was waiting outside! ?”
