Traded in an item to this store and they made it easy and simple! Extremely friendly staff who make the process so easy. They seem they enjoy working there so their smiles make it 100x better! Also purchased this DDJ-RB from CEX and it works like a gem! Will be visiting again.

I actually chose the one I'd like online, but wanted to check out the shop also
There is certainly a large selection of games and equipment that would please anyone wanting to get into gaming, etc
There are other things like phones, etc. available at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and helpful and, if you're not sure what you want, they are willing to help

Great customer service always love looking at the bargains for someone struggling on a budget to buy dvds or playstaion games it's heaven and the tall guy with blonde hair I think his name is Ellis he's a credit to your store what a polite well mannered man you have working for you

I recently had the opportunity to visit the CeX store in Merthyr during a trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by the store's overall layout and presentation. As soon as I walked in, I noticed how well-organized everything was, with an array of eye-catching displays that drew attention to their products. The shelves were neatly arranged, making it easy to browse through their stock without feeling overwhelmed. It's clear that a lot of effort goes into creating a visually appealing shopping experience for customers.
One of the standout aspects of my visit was the service provided by the staff. They were approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely willing to help with any queries I had. Their positive attitude made the shopping experience much more enjoyable. Whether I needed advice on a product or had questions about their trade-in policies, they were quick to assist and made me feel valued as a customer. It?s always refreshing to interact with staff who take pride in their work and go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
However, while there were plenty of positives about the store, there were also some areas that could use improvement. For one, I found that many of the items in the store were significantly overpriced compared to other similar retailers. While I understand that CeX specializes in second-hand goods, and some items can hold their value over time, I couldn?t help but feel that many products were marked up beyond what I?d consider reasonable. This was especially noticeable with certain electronics and gaming accessories, which could be purchased brand new elsewhere for a comparable price.
Another issue I encountered was with the store?s refund policy. It seems they only offer refunds if a purchased item is faulty, which can be quite frustrating. For example, if a phone or gadget isn?t to your liking or doesn?t meet your expectations after purchase, you?re out of luck unless the product is proven to be defective. In today?s retail environment, where flexible return policies are becoming the norm, this rigid approach felt outdated and somewhat unfair. A more customer-friendly policy would go a long way in enhancing the shopping experience and building trust with customers.
In conclusion, while the Merthyr CeX store has a lot going for it?especially in terms of layout and staff service?there are a few downsides that detract from the overall experience. The high prices and restrictive refund policy are areas where the store could improve significantly. Nevertheless, I still appreciated the effort the team put into creating a welcoming atmosphere, and I hope they take this feedback on board to make their store even better in the future.

Great selection on offer, fairly good prices just a shame trying to buy anything has become such a chore of late, everyone always tied up dealing with ?trade ins?, people who want to buy rather than sell are often left waiting and waiting and waiting. It?d be an idea to keep a team member and till free for your buyers. I?m sure you don?t need reminding that physical media is becoming a niche market, it?d be wise to look after those who still want to purchase it.

I brought my dell laptop, webcam and android Mac laptop to sell at CEX . The staff were rude and unprofessional. The staff had a terrible attitude. The staff had no customer service skills . The staff made me feel uncomfortable. I saw on the CEX website that I could sell my dell laptop and get £130 for it . The man said I could give you £30 for it . I thought that is an insult. I had bought my dell laptop on Amazon for £115 . The man said in a direct manner this laptop looks old . I said to him it is brand new . I bought it last week. I haven't used it . The man said you will need to wait 2 hours for us to rest it . Bare in mind it is raining heavily outside. I have my 1 year old daughter with me in the pram . I explained It is a brand new dell laptop. I have never used it . The man turned around and said you are a liar . I don't believe what you are saying. I said I have my android laptop I want to sell . The laptop is in perfect condition. On the website it said I could receive £60 for it . The man turned around and said. We don't take unbranded old laptops. I said I want to sell my webcam . On the website it said I could receive £7 for it . The man said you can only receive 10p for it . I was very disappointed with the service. I was disgusted how I was treated . The CEX store had a weird smell of Odour. I was going to give the money I was supposed to receive to a homeless charity. Shame on you CEX . Avoid this place

Went in to sell my meta quest 2. Guy takes it out the box and checks it over, all fine . Takes my details and tells me it has to be tested all the norm so far ..Gives me the ticket and says it's going to be 45mins,fair enough so I go away and return about 50mins later..Give my ticket to a staff member and am meet by confused looks by the staff...To get to point none of them had bothered to test my item and were passing the blame back and fo to each other .And to top it all off was then told that they couldn't take my item because the lens were scratched.. my item was in mint condition and I would never take in an item that I thought was not of a good standard... Having used cex for a number of years I have been left feeling let down by the bad experience I had today.... shameful..

I bought a pre-owned Xbox 360 from the CEX website and received a dirty product with faulty accessories. I took it to Merthyr CEX to return it where the staff were fantastic, helpful and knew their stuff. They replaced my order with a clean model that had been fully play tested. It works an absolute treat. Would definitely recommend using this store
