Stopped to fuel this morning with my friends, before we took on the black mountain pass ride. However the fuel station forecourt was closed & only down too two pumps, this lead to a long line of traffic on the carriageway, rather unsafe, the situation was exasperated by an over enthusiastic BMW driver who decided it was his god given right to push past us to take one of the vacant fuel pumps, that we were queuing for!

Just walked in the petrol station, greeted by a man behind the counter (Luke). Shouting and swearing and the top of his lungs. Went to pay for my fuel was super rude and smelt disgusting. I just looked at him and said everything ok? He just totally blanked me. Don?t know who he thinks he is, disgusting attitude, would be mortified if my elderly grandparent walked in there and were greeted to that.

Decent fuel at decent pricesSadly, now (Jan 2024) not so cheap!NOT, the dearest, but also NOT worth making sure you filled up only when near to this garage. I can fill up locally now, not far away, for less, so I don't bother to'drag it out' just to fill up here when in Merthyr anymore... Surely I am not the only one??? Jan 2020 I gave them 5stars in my original review... sadly, now its a 4.

Fuel was a more expensive here compared to competitors which is unusual for Applegreen.

Ridiculously priced compared to the rest of Wales. Even Mid Wales is cheaper. I've stopped using here in protest

When I visited here the majority of the pumps had yellow out of service covers on them and the lady working at the desk hardly acknowledged me while she was holding a phone to her ear, discussing a hospital appointment of a colleague. Not that I normally expect 5 star service at a petrol station, but a little common courtesy goes a long way.
