Either hit or miss. Twice happend recently fish was warm but not fresh been in glass ages . Arrived home so disappointed both fish went in bin .chips not very good not going again

Can I give this 10 stars?? Simply the best fish I have ever eaten! It was so tender inside, very high quality meat, and the crispy batter kept it very juicy. We've seen cars from around the region drive to it and now we understand why ?
Strictly takeout. We enjoyed our meal by the benches at the shore, 2 to 3-minute walk

Always a fave chippy until the other night when ordered chips beans and cheese. Got a really small box, with a really small portion. Not worth the money at all. Usually decent portions so a bit gutted

Today, this chippy has moved from 2nd to 1st place in my favorite chippys. Beautiful white and large chips perfectly cooked once in fresh oil, mushy peas that aren't fake-coloured, portion size decent but of course I wanted more because they were so good. Decent chips like these are so rare these days!

Popped in for 2 portions of haddock & chips & was I glad. YES!
Food was cooked fresh, chips were done lovely & the fish and batter coating was perfect.
2 ladies serving & cooking & you can tell they know there stuff regarding a great chippy, jollyfull chatty & so polite. I will definately reccommend this chippy, and we will definately be returning for second portions soon.

I am writing this within 2 minutes of arriving home (5 minutes drive) with our order. The chips are an absolute disgrace and I?ve put them in the oven to cook. Shame on you for serving such garbage!

Beautifully cooked cod with deliciously batter and chips. Lovely sides too (mushy peas and curry sauce) and generous portions. All piping hot and quick service. Absolutely delicious. Will be back
