Food is lovely and the staff are very friendly and extremely organised. On a sunny day sitting outside enjoying the ambience and looking at the views of the countryside, what is there not to like.

Update 2025: Still as fantastic as I remember it. Had a lemon and apricot scone and it was sublime. It was a sunny day so we sat outside and enjoyed the views. Also investigated the folly and the chainsaw-carved tree. Highly recommended.
Quaint little coffee shop in old farm building. Looks like an old milking parlour or similar, so had plenty of character, but it is a little place and fill up fast. Great value and good food, fast service and pleasant staff. Great for a quick bite. The food that is, not the staff.

Service has been slow the last two times we?ve been, the first time a year ago our order was forgotten about, this time they said they?d come and take our order outside but never came. I did go in and order food and drinks which came out as and when it was made. Understandable to a degree as it gets busy and it?s a tiny kitchen but we weren?t given a table number or one of those electronic devices to call you for your food which might have helped. Food is nice. Coffee is bean to cup as far as I could tell. Camera available but not sampled!

A little gem of a place! We stopped for lunch not knowing the Stables at all, had lovely toasties and soup with an excellent side salad all for just over £10 each. We are both vegetarian and fancied the quiche, unfortunately had meat in it ,so went for the toasties which turned out to be a great option . In some places a side salad is just that...this however is exceptional, a credit to the meal. We will definitely call again when we are passing through, quality, service, and cost cannot be underrated.

Lovely little cafe and food delicious. Had to wait a while to be served but place is only small so not alot of room for more staff when needed at busy times. Always had lovely food here and would highly recommend.

Great place to visit for lunch or coffee and cake. On a fine day it is lovely to sit out in the gardens and soak up the views. We always have been given a warm welcome and really good food. Well worth a visit.

An unexpected pleasure. Struggled to find a lunch stop travelling up the A483. Google maps suggested this. Turns out to be a great little coffee shop in the middle of a holiday park but open to the public. Choice of soup, snacks, cakes, perfect place for a light lunch. Friendly staff, good ambience, option to sit outside on a good day. Worth the slight detour off the main road.

Visited for a drink and a cake on our way home after a day out. My husband has just told me that three small scones with whipped cream not clotted , the tiniest pot of the thinnest jam and three cups of tea cost nearly £25As a baker and someone who makes cakes for others I am stunned at the charges.
